Here's this simple Minced Beef & Onion Pie Recipe - No need to make pastry - as shop bought Puff Pastry is almost as good as the real thing. If it's good enough for Professional Chef's, then it's good enough for us!

For the Filling :
600g of Minced Beef (Ground Beef)
1 Large Onion
500/600ml Beef stock (or alternatively add 3 beef stock cubes to a jug and pour in 500/600ml of boiling water)
2 tablespoons of Plain Flour
Salt / Pepper for seasoning
Couple of Splashes of Worcestershire Sauce (optional)
2 teaspoons of Marmite (optional) - which adds to the 'Beefy Flavour'
600/700g of Shop Bought Puff Pastry (I used 'Just Roll' Puff Pastry)
This recipe will fill a pie dish 2.5 inches deep and 10 inch diameter
Cooking times : Approx 35 to 40 mins in pre-heated oven 220c or 200c if fan assisted / 425f / Gas Mark 7
This Filling will also make 8 individual pies or pasties, so the choice is yours what you decide to make.
