Great vid mate! Questions... 🤔 I am shooting with the R5C... is the "old' Ninja the original Ninja V+ ? if so... the new Ninja is superior in features than the older V+ ? (I think the 5+ allows 8K30...). So 🤔 to use it with the R5C, you think I can get away with the old Ninja, or the new one or the 'Ultra" would give me more options (8K pro Ress raw) and other festures as "pre record" 9I do lots of nature) and better Timelapse options... ? Thanks in advance. Cheers!
I’d say the scheduled Timelapse would be good for you but it’s basically the old units plus the new features which you can get as a paid add on instead of buying the new models! The ninja+ also gives you the 8k raw if the camera is compatible but ya quite confusing 🤪 but basically they’re the old ninja units but with added features.. nothing new about the hardware! hope that helps 🫡
Thank bro! Really helps. I bought your LUT pack btw. Quick question. In this very tutorial, in the parts where you’re talking to the camera 0:21 , what is that kinda blurry effect? Could you make one tutorial of this too?
Hi, I have a similar setup (a7cii/ 24m. 2.8) without a nisi 49mm nd filter. I'm going on a bikepacking tour soon and am thinking about which nd filter I should buy. I want to keep my setup as minimal as possible. Do you think for Video Nisi 1-5 variable should be enough? or should I buy + 5-9 as well? and do you also use mist filters? Cool Shoots btw.
I think 1-5 is good! On high noon or super bright days, you might need to be around f8 with 5 stops on the VND. If you need that shallow depth of field 5-9 is a must but I get by with 1-5 just fine!
Great video and stills! I love your style. I have ordered an a6700 with a 18-50 2.8, do you reckon the 16mm justifies itself to be bought alongside the 2.8? Would the extra 2mm and 1.4 be enough of a difference? Thank you
@@VictorLaforteza thanks Victor, I ended up getting one used. Btw do you run any filters for a softer look? I'm thinking a shimmer lens perhaps to get a more cinematic glow, also understand a lot of colour grading would be needed to stylise the footage. Thank you!
@@ranulranepura7210 I used to but not anymore! Sometimes I add a bit of blur and glow in post but yeah, I try to keep it flexible so I can edit it to my heart's content! I used to use black pro mist 1/8 and 1/4. My friend says glimmerglass works great as well!
I own the FX30 and I'm looking at upgrading my ZV-E10 to the A6700 for a permanent green screen camera because I can't find any 4k60 HDR10 capture cards. White balancing in post isn't an issue for virtual production because you know the exact white balance ahead of time and that has to match the 3D model. You would be hard pressed to see the difference between SLog3 and ProRez 12-bit raw for studio use were the sky is not there, and by exposing to the left/for the shadows you don't need the lights to be as bright to simulate sunlight, and this is a great benefit for green screen work, you don't need a 600W light, you can use a 60W to 300W light with 2500 dual native ISO at f/5.6 and it looks great.
do you still consider a lens that you can't do without? Is there anything better? I love 24 1.4, but I fear I would keep the camera in active / dynamic active stabe and I feel like 30mm isn't wide enough...should I get 20mm if I usually use dynamic active and hand held? or is 24 better b/c it can be used with a gimbal?
I still love 24mm whether its 1.4 or 2.8! Some love the 20mm 1.8 better because its just a bit wider. But to answer your question, yes. It's still a lens I can't do without.
The DJI focus is better mainly because you can put it on top of Matt boxes and other piece of your camera. Where is with this piece? You can only have it on that area. That’s the only grape I have. I think this is great if you’re doing indoor stuff, mostly solo but if you have something where you need my boxes, you need other things to go on the camera. It’s not gonna be a good time.
Well put! Yeah this one limits you as to where you place it. Just on top of the lens and you can’t move it. It’s a good start but dji really made a jump in this tech.
Like the tutorial. Only problem for me is that if you upload this “moody” video on Instagram for example. It would end up being Way to dark. I dont know what it is with instagram but it makes it darker when uploading videos as “moody” as this
Hi i just ordered the 1/4 52mm for my sigma 30mm lens according to the tiffen lens to filter chart. So do i need to buy any kind of step up ring as well along with it? If yes then which one?
Hello☺ thank you ! Could someone please tell me which nd filter (stops) do I need to shoot in daylight when my ISO is 800, Aperture 1.4, if I shoot 1/50 (for 24 fps) and at 1/200 (for 100 fps).
if you see this and could answer that would be amazing ! i’ve been looking hard to find the right ND filter. and i’m mad to hear that both the ones i found that don’t shift color. aren’t going to fit my 35 mm which is 55mm ND size.. do you know why majority of these ND companies aren’t making 55mm thread?
For slog3, 800 is the lowest ISO. When you go down, it goes to the extended iso and you lose dynamic range! And then 3200 is the second base iso because it is a dual gain sensor. Note that second base iso is different for other Sony cams as well.
I am thinking to stepping up from sony A6000 and have only 2 contestants, which you know very good - this camera or A6700. I shoot pics, but also do videos and have already Tamron APSC lens and sony 35mm f 1.8 FF. Something draws me towards A7CII, although lens are more expensive. Do you have any recommendation?
If you have all the budget, do the a7cii because it's slightly better, You also have the 35mm 1.8 to use right away. If limited budget, the a6700 is perfect. You get to use the same lenses and it's got the fx30 sensor. You'd feel right at home with it! Hope that helps!
