The a7c2 will overheat worse than an a7iv as it’ll be in a smaller body. Zve1 overheats, a6700 overheats, Sony … overheats except for the ones with fans in it. Apparently ulanzi is coming out with a mirrorless fan on the cheap that could make hybrid cameras usable for Sony. Pretty sad Sony sucks at making heat dissipation a priority.

Yeah.. that's why I didn't go for the ZVE1 but in the mean time I'll post an overheating test with the a6700 first and see how it performs. It's funny how there's a market for 3rd party fans now because of this...

I know what you mean but i stopped getting hung up on firmware updates since Sony just wants you to buy a new camera but for me the body style is what I’m wanting to get. I don’t even think I’ll use the new features 😅😅

Im trying out my a7iv from my friend. Loved the A7IIII but I was definitely missing the UI from my FX30 and dedicated menu haha. Mainly looking at a7iv for a photo camera with dual card slots and a bcam for video lol. Shot a little yesterday with my a6700 and I love it with my FX30. Definitely a camera I use for personal trips and travel. I’ll be on the look out for your a7cii vid.

@@VictorLaforteza Yeah I just took out my a6700 out the other day. I'm loving it. Took my FX30 out casually to New York and didn't enjoy the travel. So this is great in between. When you get the a7cii, I'm curious to see what lens you pair with it. I am in love with f/1.4 lenses, but i also get the practicality with sony's f/2.8 travel sized lenses.

I was thinking the exact same to sell my A7IV in anticipation for the A7C II.. love the style of the smaller body Sonys and great to still have the EVF even if it is low IQ.. Perfect for travel especially with some apsc lenses.. Also looking forward to seeing your a6700 content

@@kiloross9546 pricing mainly, if it’s around $2300 the way it’s rumored, then it’s an expensive compact camera that lacks a lot of features. I made a video about it, it’s the first video on my main page- a lot of people seem to agree. But honestly, it comes down to how much you’re willing to spend and what’s best for the way you shoot.

Nice one, By the way I have been shooting with the A7IV for over a year now and it over heats a lot and where `I live it does not even get that hot. Actually in winter right now and the other dy in studio it over heated several times. I shoot 95% 60p 4K by the way and Yes I know all the "tricks" to not have it over heat but it does and is the only bummer, other wise it is the best hybrid camera in my opinion, I even sold my FX3 bc I liked the A7IV even more except for the over heating...

Same here. My A7IV oveheats within like a few minutes of shooting 5-10 second videos which can be a little annoying. But other than that im a Photo first guy so I enjoy the photos it produces

I’m still fairly certain there’s a few batches that are solid and that overheats a lot!! I’ve seen this first hand with a friend’s copy and we compared our a7iv’s

What are your thoughts of the RV over the IV? I sold the IV for the RV but not too impressed? Granted it might be because I am not shooting as much and just doing talking head videos 😂

Your Chinese pronunciation is quite good! Have the first gen A7c and I’m holding onto it until the A7c2 is officially released to see if it’s worth the upgrade. I know you could get more money for selling your camera before the new camera release… but I’d rather take that slight opportunity cost hit just to be 100% sure the new camera is actually what I want. Did you ever used or own the A7c? A7IV does feel bulky, but I do like the big evf.

I wanted it as the perfect hybrid camera that I can take everywhere. I didn’t mind the weight but since a7cii is coming, might as well make the setup smaller! If it’s travel and weight is your concern the a6700 is great. If you want a bit more camera for that travel I think the a7cii will be it BUT if it’s your only camera, stick with your a7iv. It’s gonna perform the same as the a7cii I’m assuming

If you’re video focused, the zv-e1 is amazing! Otherwise the photography features of the a7cii balances out amazingly with its video features.

If A7iv has overheating issue, the newly relased apsc A6700 definitely has it then A7Cii would most definitely have it with that tiny body.

honestly - good move man! dodged a bullet with the ZVE1, definitely overheats for longer shoots AND if you want to use as a hybrid in-doors, photos will band from the electronic shutter :( - might be letting mine go D:

Wow, you're as bad as me! Maybe a little worse. I know you're making professional use of it all. So you've bought the a6700 AND you'll buy the a7CII on top of what you have already... I think you need more cameras lol. At least you sold the a7IV. Your video from four weeks back covers my plan (buying an a6700 to use with my FX30). Travelling, I don't want to carry my FX30. Like you I also like taking photos, so that's something else the a6700 fits into for me (no little Fuji here, as cool as I think they are). I loved my a7C, and I think the a7CII will be amazing (August 29th?). I've sold all my full-frame lenses, and if I hadn't MAYBE I would be considering the a7CII as my travel camera. Common sense me has me telling myself the a6700 will be perfect for me, but crazy me wants them all. BTW I gave you a mention way back when in my Dehancer review as why I was so amped to try it. I love the look of your stylized stuff.

Hahaha it’s the hunt for the perfect camera.. which could be never ending! But to be fair, I only carry two at the same time since the other one or two are working with my small crew! It’s quite annoying to rent in Canada 😭😭 I have a feeling apsc will be so much better for travel… since FF glass is expensive and its much bigger… so I’m thinking if the a7cii is the mix of everything a7iv and a6700… I’m sold!!! The Fuji will be my fun experimental camera. Oh cool! I’ll check it out later when I get home! I’m glad it made you try it from what I did with it 🙌🏽

Great video. I am waiting for the a7cII also. Just a small critique. There is a lot of banding on the wall behind you and it is a little distracting. Maybe add a little light or an object to the wall to break up the youtube banding issue.

I think, the A7C Mk 2 will also have overheating issues, if you put a A7IV on AI steroids in an even smaller body. What about not having a dual card slot and be limited to micro USB?

Love your work man! I bought the A7Cii. Mostly been into photography, but video work is picking up. How happy are you with the a7cii for video? I am kinda on the fence since it has no dual base ISO and am wondering if the a6700 might be the better choice for low light especially.

Nice! I don’t have it yet but I’m sure the a7cii is good in video since it’s the a7iv sensor ! It should do better in low light than the a6700 tbh. It still has dual base iso, you just don’t see Sony marketing it. Again it’s the same as the a7iv just different body!

I have the Sony a7iv. Would it make sense to buy the FX30 as a supplement to make videos? And then keep the a7iv for stills only? Or would that be a waste of money and should I just stick to my a7iv?

Sony won't be going backwards, so that cool mechanism from the a7RV would be the only possibility. That's probably a fantasy in this category. You're in a minority, so it's unlikely the flippy flappy will go anywhere.

It's just a very expensive hobby for me :( So I think a smaller camera like the A7Cii will definitely a better choice for me. I will miss the low light capabilities of the a7siii though
