Hi! My name is Hans, and this is Tractor Hoarders.
On this channel, I buy, repair, and use tractors, and make "how to" videos on tractors and small engine repair. I enjoy collaborating with other like minded content creators.
Feel free to reach out to me via email (tractorhoarders@gmail.com) if you'd like to engage in expanded discussion not conducive to the comments section, for video collaboration opportunities, and if you have a product that you'd like to have showcased and/or reviewed on this channel.

Thanks for the video. My 1023e didn’t want to crank - I left the flashers on. I was able to charge it up and run the tractor for a while, but since my battery is at least five or more years old I got a replacement from my John Deere guy. The old battery had a venting hose, but the newer JD batteries have vented caps…
Does anyone repair an easy-start lawnmower that doesn't have a primer bulb on the carburetor? I have a 5 yr old Briggs , an 11 yr old Honda, and a 16 yr old Kohler and none have a primer bulb. In the last 15 years, I've only seen primer bulbs used on very cheap lawnmowers.
Thank you for making this video. I just changed my giant antenna for a small 50 caliber bullet style antenna on my new 2021 ram 1500 warlock. I couldn't have done it without tgis video because someone had really tightened it right up... Now I wont be trimming trees everywhere I go.😂. Thanks to you it only took me 1 minute, if that.❤
I just did the same thing to a mower that was given to me and it worked. Thank You for uploading this video. Your step by step video made it easy to do. : )
I have a Murray 500e 140cc Briggs & Stratton it will start then it will turn off would you recommend me doing the same thing to the carburetor as you did or purchase a new carb
I bought my 1025r last summer. I found watching all these videos, that almost every upgrade was already done on my tractor. From simple removal of bolts and put disconnects on, to other larger items. Seems JD watches these videos and makes changes every year!! Thanks!
Have this problem with mine. I looked it up a while back, but refreshing my memory before I take a look at it. Wish I had known of the problem when I was trying to start it in a blizzard with -30F or so wind chill while doing van life. Sure would have been nice to have that working that night. 😀
One thing you said about stopping the engine struck me as questionable. In my late styled A operator's manual it says there is only one way to stop the engine and that is closing the throttle. I don't know if there is anything specifically wrong with turning the gas off at the bowl (this is the method I use on my hand start 1939 A) but I'm just going by the operator's manual on the late styled A. Plus the fact that you would have to dismount the tractor to turn off the fuel. I don't know, just an observation. On the plus side that tractor sounds really good. And I noticed that you engaged the clutch lever when it was idling so that the flywheel and pulley wheel were in tandem. Thanks btw for sharing.
Good video 👍 Your assumption about the strainer around the oil pump is valid to remove that next time. You didnt remove the primary drive case tiny drain bolt. Milky condensation always collects in there in a few months. Drain it often and refill with any new oil 1/2 Quart
I tried these things but but my mower still won’t start. New spark plug, new gas, I guess I need to blow the fuel line out, I’m kind of afraid to tackle that bc my tank is full.
I bought a B that was stored in a shed. I brought it home and for a while it sat inside but eventually I needed room in my shed so I made sure to cover the muffler and intake. It sat for a month or so and when I tried to start it yesterday, I had water squirting out of the compression relief valve on one side. How bad could it be
Great video. Good source of instruction. Now if you can get hold of an old John Deere and start it using the flywheel and the manual adjust chokes. But no need to hurry. There are videos online that already show that. I saw one guy starting his G while his daughter, I suppose, videoed him doing so. That way they'd know how to start it after he was gone. Yours is a good one.
Welders Tip cleaners. Welding supply, Aome Depot, Amazon. Thanks, I found one today 2017 model. It looks like it was used one time. The motor oil is clean as new.
