you don't have to purchase the "battle pass" they are all free these new ones work like helldivers 2 you now earn coins to buy what items you want at the level. but unlike other games scoreboard items are gone once it's over
I got it via the military beret pack. It call Maroon Military Beret. You can send a customer support ticket and request the item and they will charge your atoms and give your account the item.
I like the storyteller mod, I just think it was in a tough place having to put him near goodsprings in some way but also causing him to stick out like a sore thumb in the process
God that sucks about the beret! Best of luck in The Pitt! I somehow managed to skip going to Pittsburgh and got permission to fly to Atlantic City first, which turned out to be a huge mistake because I was way underleveled, way way undergeared, and my perk build wasn't meta.
Mike just to let you know all those stash boxes you see around the world are all left need to your stash box. It doesn’t matter is it’s there at the refuge or at someone else’s camp it will only show your stash no one else’s
yeah, they love to trick people on the ATOM shop with the photos so you'd think you're buying something, but since its not specifically listed below you don't get it. however because this happens so frequently if you submit a ticket on bethesda's website you're practically guaranteed to get a full refund and keep the item for your troubles. you can also use the ticket submissions to get any previous ATOM shop item/bundle currently not available in the shop. (specifically 'Power Patrol Red Beret' for the one in the picture or 'Maroon Military Beret' for one with a large sword/shield emblem)
If this happens so frequently that there's an established procedure for how to address it, there's a big problem with False Advertising. Not that I'm surprised, coming from Canvas Bag Bethesda. I appreciate people letting me know I can fill out ticket submissions to obtain ATOM shop items. However, I will not be doing that because that's f'king stupid. I'm not going to write out a request to customer support to obtain permission to purchase a digital item from their secret store.
@@mikeburnfire2 don't blame you one bit. requiring a support ticket to buy something so the store can continue to prey on FOMO is without a doubt some of the scummiest part of Bethesda. Sadly the only reason it's established procedure at this point is because it involves proper money so they actually respond in a timely matter
So mind you this is from a friend’s knowledge. You can hit up Bethesda’s support. Refund that outfit and if you tell them what you were looking for they will trade that out with maybe a refund
@@mikeburnfireIt's a separate Atom Shop item that's a selection of berets of which one is red. I don't know if it's in the current item rotation. Man, if only the digital nature of video games allowed a large catalogue of items to be near infinitely available to purchase, negating the need to rotate items at all. Man, if only that was possible at all. Alternatively there are free berets in game from various sources. The one that springs to mind is the Fasnaht beret that is only available from the seasonal event of the same name or bought from player vendors. It's a beret with a yellow/black plaid pattern and a little shield on the front. There's the regular black military beret that's found everywhere. I think the Brotherhood questline gives one, or maybe that's another Atom shop item. Man, isn't it great when the only desirable items are microtransactions and not gameplay rewards?
@@mikeburnfire You sure? I bought an Cosmetic Item Set (think it was a Raider Set with a Rebreather) and that came with all of it included. Did it say anything specific or anything in the Shop... like it just being a Jumpsuit? Because if it didn't, then go call support cuz something is fishy.
I was working part time at a Red Rocket 5 and dime. my overseer was Mr. Magee. he would tell me that he didn't like my kind because I was too Raidery. I was spending my day killing something as little as nothing but different then the day before. but that's when I saw him . he came in from the wasted Outdoor out door. He wore a red Raspberry Beret the kind you find at an army surplus second hand store. Raspberry Beret .......
Yeah, I mostly wish I hadn't had to do multiple hours of homework to learn the meta so I could stop getting 1-shotted by every enemy in the game the instant I hit level 40. Most nights I can find strangers to group up with and shockingly they tend to be pretty kind and generous, which is not something I ever expected. I'm gearing up for end-game content now so I can pay it forward to other newbies.
Oh wow I thought ya were quitting but good to see ya stick with it, dont play myself but as a fan of the fallout franchise I wish you luck on finding something fun worth playing for 😅
There's 3 typesof Starfield reviews: (5 to 10 hrs) "I didn't click with this game, seems kinda boring" (60 to 150 hrs) "Yeah this game was actually good, I don't understand all the hate" (300+ hrs) "this game fucking sucks"
Hi, Mike. Please keep making fun content. Have you learned how to make the underarmor lining mods? You are still wearing the suit, and you have done all of the Overseer tapes, so you should have all of the linings for the Vault Suit. Most of the others can be bought at the Whitesprings Mall and a few other vendors scattered across the map. For the nuke launching, as a solo, Stealth Boys are your friend. You also learned to make the Chinese Stealth Armor as part of the Settlers quest line. Still need a couple of SB's, but the Stealth Armor counts as a hazmat suit, too. Having even 1 partner to run interference makes things SO much easier. And, like others have said, you activated a World Boss Event by nuking the mine. You needed to join Colossal Problem as soon as it popped up. From there, you explore the mine and learn about how that lady's father, Earl, got trapped in there with his crew. Then, there is the big boss fight. Specific builds can solo him, but it's mostly a group thing that gets announced publicly. If you happen to see the event pop up randomly, join in and you can finish the quest. This is true for all of the nuke quests. It doesn't matter who starts it, if you participate, you get credit for that part of the quest. All of the World Boss Events are worth jumping into. A little chaotic, but generally a good fight. The newest one has an exploit they need to fix, but they have a solid track record of tweaking these big events until they are properly balanced. ATM, we have 4 of these big events, and anyone can trigger them based on where they send the nuke. There are a couple of groups that do these in release order every Tuesday before the weekly reset.
I find a lot of youtubers criticize this game for being too much of a slog to play through, and it definitely can be at times, but also you're going into really high level endgame areas _alone_ without even having a decent set of weapons or armor. At your level, I would have worn power armor at the very least. It's hard to fault a game when you don't use all the tools given to you, ya know?
Yeah, I get that the devs wanted to make launching a nuke not the easiest thing to do, but the amount of tedium in it has been bullshit since day one. I can almost guarantee that only like 0.01% of the player base has spent more than five minutes trying to solve the cypher (if they tried at all) and probably less than 0.01% of that group has actually solved because the average person is not a code breaker. And then getting through the silo is a bastard and a half, and that's *if* you're using waaay better gear/build than what you have and speedrun strats. I've also seen many players whiff nukes by not nuking the right spot. And, of course, the game might crash on you, meaning you just spent all that time and effort and everyone else on that server gets to enjoy the benefits. You can rejoin that server if you were in a group, which the game kind of heavily incentivizes with how many bonuses you can get.
25:10 Yeah that's probably the most annoying bug in the game. I think it has to do with there being too many enemies in your vicinity. I've had that happen to me, mainly during events.
I tried to get into 76, and i genuinely enjoyed exploring the world and encountering new enemies, and building a quiet cabin by the river. Then the game bombarded me with some sort of event. I rush over only to arrive late, and see people in bizzar outfits (to each their own) dancing around while they got rewards and got Destiny flashbacks. Sorry, but for me i want my Fallout to be a solitary experience. I believe that if 76 was a single player game, it would be beloved. The Bethesda equivalent to New Vegas (with some key improvements needed)
The brief bit of 76 I played, there was a group of people on top of a building killing waves of ghouls on the ground. But, there was also a brand new set of power armor on the ground floor. So I snuck in there, put the armor on, and ran for my life.
The writing in the more recent additions to the game have generally been far better than anything in Fallout 4. The main problem I've still had with the game at this point is that the enemy scaling is such that once you get to levels 40+ if you don't have a super tuned meta build you will just be dying constantly and unable to kill much of anything any more. So unless you're doing a lot of research into the meta, you're boned. Which is absolutely bonkers for a PVE game.
It's fun with friends. Some take that as a negative, I view it like playing Among Us. You CAN play it solo, with random lobby... but I'm not gonna do that.
I wonder, did you ever find the Mistress of Mystery quest line? I think it’s in some giant mansion or something but I’ve heard it’s pretty interesting, outside the fetch quests.
There are bodies of "Young Woman" scattered around the SW portion of the map. These have the start of that quest line. One of the easiest to find is in the alley of AVR Medical (where you get inoculated). If you are using Area Looting and see an item labeled "Tattered Dress", then you have one of these corpses in your area. BTW< Tattered Dress is the only costume in the game that gives you +1 Perception.
oof sorry to see your first nuke launch was such a bomb (pardon the pun), as nuking the mine isn't properly explained. when it lands it activates a public event "colossal problem" which can only joined by fast travel (map or activity list) since you can't actually physically enter. (something, something, its to do with instanced location and platers not on the same team) which is made worse because the event is only active to join for 5 minutes to prevent players entering late instances....
Thank you so much! I have been stuck on this too for like 2 months. Everybody says it doesn't even need to be you who nukes it to go in and do the quest, but then I get there and can't get in every damn time and this is the only post about that quest I've ever seen explain this part. You are a legend!
@@MxReese yeah, that's one large problem with live service games, players will only get told how something will function once or twice in a developer stream before the content releases. then later on new players have no idea how stuff is different while veterans fail to see the problem since it 'should be common knowledge'. in any case, glad it was able to help someone.
I honestly don't think Bethesda have released a good game since about 2010. In saying that, over the last few years, I've been having a lot of fun playing their older games and finding some under-appreciated diamonds in the rough. Would highly recommend over their newer titles.
fallout 76 wouldn't be good after a hundred updates because everything they add is so shallow and dissapointing it's marvel level writing, both dialogue-wise and plot-wise it's not just cringe it's sad
Main thing the game needs: 1. Private Server tier below Fallout 1st that is free and adds mod support *The base game is lacking WAY too much*, just limits the player count to 1-2 or 1-4 players.
