CSX only had ten SD70ACe (Tier Fours) on lease, and they have all been returned. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8zGznzV88jA.htmlsi=csmnJfsb4JH2j6KP
There were all GE for quite a while, but early on they had several CF7 locomotives, F units rebuilt by Santa Fe as hood units. They also had some Alco.
The store with the brown exterior with the Christmas decorations on the right at 12:27 has sat vacant since 2008, as it was Castner Knott, Dillard's used it as a men's store, and it last operated as Steve and Barry's.
When I first moved to Texas, I thought this was a rattlesnake. We kept looking for the snakes in our yard and finally figured out. It was a insect in the trees.
It was interesting how CameraBryan managed to get so close to it without being killed ! Maybe the staff had tranquilized it ? The latest photos on the TCRM website show that the infamous, cursed death loco has been renumbered to 6902, and it was repainted red with a silver stripes (red to hide the blood stains) They don't even list this vicious killer on their website in the locos section. You'd have to manually type in 'Tennessee Central Railway Museum 9912' into Google to get to their page on it. The loco isn't stored in an engine shed. They keep it in a Hannibal Lecter style isolation cell, because it has a thirst for human blood. The staff tell the story that when the DC-10 goes to sleep at night, it first checks under it's bed for the 9912. 😀
6902 was a different locomotive. The owner sold it, and it's no longer at the museum. 9912 was one a few of the Metra E unit brought to Nashville before the Star commuter trains were running. They initially planned to rebuild those, but later decided to go with rebuilt F40s instead. 9912 is the last of the Metra E units (and the last E unit) left in Nashville. At one time there were eight E units in Nashville.
ordinarily, the tamper will have all of the projector buggies out in front of the tamper for a longer delta radius. It is unusual to use such a short radius.
What time was that taken? I asked because I think I saw this in Leighton yesterday afternoon close to or right at 1:30 pm but it stopped in preparation for a meet with another train that was going eastbound.
Been there since I was a kid i grew up in Wartrace lived on Bridge Street right across the tracks 2nd house from the top across from the old school also grew up on Union Ridge Rd
I really like those E units. Back in 1972 I rode on Amtraks National Limited from NYC to Kansas City. The train had two Penn Central E8 diesels for power. The sleeping car that I was in was 2 cars behind the locos. The E8 diesels were ex PRR units. I enjoyed hearing those 567 V12s rev up and down and the locos had Nathan M3 all bells forward horns.I loved every bit of hearing those 567 V12s and the beautiful M3 horns!!!
