We are a first generation cattle ranch here in Missouri turning our wooded land into pasture. On our channel, we are sharing our whole journey of starting a ranch from scratch! We don't claim to be experts, but we chose to go full throttle into this lifestyle!
As we have shared more of our journey, more people have opened up to us about wanting to live a similar lifestyle, but feel that it's out of reach. Well. We are here to show you that we certainly don't have it all figured out, but we are taking action and learning along the way... and so can you.
We have been dreaming of ranching for a while, and it's becoming our reality one step at a time! If you have a dream, go after it!

Goodmorning yall. I have 2 suggestions for your garden. Get metal rods 3 or 4 ft long and drive in ground partially wrap bare copper wire around them I. A spiral direction all the way from. The ground to the top it really helps to make veggies grow. Also with tomatoes plants at the bottom gently sand with sandpaper it makes the plant make the stems stronger. Do you guys follow deep south homestead channel?They have Dexters and a lot of gardening/farming experience although the zone is different.All those branch piles will be good for bio char for the soil as you control burn them and mix it into the Leaving them in piles wouldn't be good if it becomes copperhead habitats.The fire pit/grill would look a lot better if you got some high heat oven bbq paint and painted it red,white and blue.

For your garden, one suggestion I would make is to send/take your soil to be tested to see what amendments you need for fall when you put your beds to bed for the winter. And then in the spring before planting.
