82 or 83 is when I first heard them. Had their first album on cassette and wore it out. Before them, I didnt like modern music of the 70's and early 80's. I liked music of the 40's and 50's that I heard on my grandparents' and parent's records better. Huey Lewis' blend of blues, doo wop, and Motown with modern rock really resonated with me. Their a capella songs prove what talented singers they are. Just incredible! The a capella they do on each album and concert were what most impressed me and made them my favorite modern band when I was a kid.

Walkin' On A Thin Line was used in the beginning of the Knight Rider episode Knight Behind Bars as the would be burgular was scaling the building in the opening credits of the episode,it also featured in the episode at Matt Erickson's party that Michael and Bonnie were attending evertime i hear that it reminds me of that episode
I would say that Madonna, Janet and Paula are the best female entertainers of all time. All 3 of them can put on a show. I would say that by far Madonna is the best because of creativity,ever changing image and innovation. Then there is Janet every album she has its a new look and style. Finally, Paula she is an amazing dancer but she is kind of one trick pony when it comes to evolving. However, to her credit it seems like her career was cut short. Maybe if she had more time we could have seen different things from her.
CIA. I am really better now. I feel like I'm done "bouncing off" the guys on tv that pissed me off because they're blocking women from television and blacks, etc. I'm finally done "Bouncing off the wall" with the folks here locally, for the most part, that think they have the right to colonize a new suburb in SF Bay area that Ron and I and others moved to years ago. Saw this tour in 1986. They sounded like a polished rock n roll band. Loved it. This concert is missing sooo much though. All the hits from Sports and previous record completely left off.
Those two vice cops with the porno mustaches got my Spidey sense tingling??? Like they were a little too into it & I'm forced to wonder how many unfortunate woman were victimized by those two officers?
When I asked my dad what the best album to listen to was, he said "Sports" but the more I listened to these guys I really thought Picture This was their best album
