Hey Kevin: been watching your videos on RU-vid. I have a 4 magnet flywheel with a spring loaded advanced mechanism. Can you please explain that in a video.thank 1975 Yamaha dt 175
@austincompagno8731 yes if you run the bike without an airfilter the engine life is shorten due to dirt ingestion and will run like crap because jets would be too small
If I connect a voltmeter to the black wire from the coil, will I see a reading when the points open/close? Will that be a good test that my points aren’t the problem?
Hi Kevin , I have a 01 400 Kodiak , on the diaphragm the needle, has like two washers, maybe a spacer and the eclip, and a sleeve, wld u happen to know the orientation of them, lmk please

So i have repalaced both parts and gas cap and engine code came back on. When it was at the mechanic there was more than half a tank of gas. Now i am almost at 1 quater left and the light came on again. P0442 and was not pending. Any suggestions on what else it could be?
@@2strokeguru they did a smoke test and told me it was the charcoal and they said best to replace both at the same time. I guess back there again on Monday
@@2strokeguru does it make sense the code came back if I had more than 1/2 a tank of gas in it when I first brought it to the mechanic before getting it fixed
Hi Kevin I'm watching your clutch adjustment videos. My bike doesn't have the lock nut with the center adjuster in the middle with the screw driver , mine has a little bolt that threads into the canter no adjustment. My clutch won't pull it's solid could you help me out thank you. James
Thank you!!! After replacing my fuel line I was able to get the air out of the line within a couple of minutes, thanks to your video. Much appreciated.
I have a 1973 Kawasaki KE100 and I’m having trouble getting spark. When I spin the engine clockwise I get a nice spark across the plug, but when I spin it the right way I do not get a spark. It will still shock you but won’t spark. I have replaced the condenser and points. I was wondering if you have ever seen that? Also do you know of any aftermarket ignition switches that would work?
Sad to see a nice old bike left in that condition. I owned an early ('77) GS750 with spoked wheels & single front disc. At the time they were the world's fastest 750 production bike. Those S&W air shocks were the fancy upgrade back in the day. The rear brake pedal used to sieze up on my bike. That bike could clean up into a good old survivor! Good one Kev!
9 10 24. I have a Kawasaki 100 and put a new carburetor on it set the points and one kick fired right up.shut it off put the side covers back on it. And it will not start again.good compression. Just acts like it's not firing. Pull plug check spark . getting great spark .just won't start again. What can it be ,?
