Hi, my name is Ben, and I'd like to welcome you to the DIY Apprentice channel.
As an avid DIY’er myself, I created this channel to share my experiences on various home improvement projects in hopes that others might find the information beneficial for completing their own projects. Being a novice myself on several occasions, I know the frustration of not having seemingly insignificant pieces of information available to complete a task. This channel’s main purpose is to approach DIY projects from a relative novice’s perspective and share some of the hidden nuggets I’ve uncovered while executing my own projects.

Good video, thanks for posting this, just heard some of the new Rhino Ramps collapsing with vehicles less than the max weight. Maybe user error by driving over or off center. Though use of jacks with this would be safer.
I think the sliding is intentional. If it slides you aren't going to roll over the top when you reach the back stop. If you give it too much gas and the ramp remains stationary you're going to roll over the stop.
I tend to believe that the sliding is not intentional, and it's more of an issue on smoother surfaces; the prior version's foot had much better grip. I'd worry about property damage if I had a short runway. As you may have seen, the sliding was eliminated when I tucked the ramps under the tires.
Hello, just wondering, I have a newer craftsman ( same thing) Does the rebuild kit come with a piston ring ( or O-ring) that is replaceable? Reason I ask is because mine was leaking when it was at a certain piston stroke position. I was able to fix it but not sure how long it will last. I ended up putting Vaseline on the inside of the piston wall and it seems to have fixed it for at least now.
Thank you so much for the detailed Scenarios. I watched all of them and of course only one of them applies, but I know what to do now. So appreciate your help!!!
Thanks so much for the great video. Quick and simple, straight to the point. Just got one today and it came with a few blades, I wanted to swap immediately.
Rhino ramps have worked well for me for 25 years. However, you never know so I use jacks stands as well. Out of the many ways you can die, being crushed would be one of those right up there in terms of ways I prefer not to go.
Great video! I just blew out my senco palm nailer. I've had it since the 90s. I bought it for a job and haven't used it since, until a few days ago. When i plugged it in, it was leaking air like crazy. Then I used it and the leak stopped. Then, about an hour ago, it quit working. That's why I'm here. Shopping for O-rings on Amazon is like trying to find a contact lens in a bowl of contact lenses, isnt it? ..and sometimes you must buy many to get one. I dont mind having the extras, but i was buying some for a couple fire extinguishers. When i was finally able to find the right size to seal the connection at the pressure gage, I had to get a pack of 200.. lol they, and the 10 of the ones that seal the neck were still way cheaper than buying fire extinguisher rebuild kits.
@DIYApprentice thanks for your reply. I wanted to let you know that I was able to get mine working again. It was simple. I'm using it with a 4,500psi SCBA tank. All I had to do was refill the tank🙄😬😐 ..lol yea. I ran out of air ..duhhh
I have them in orange. The bad thing is that those automatic wire stripping pliers are very delicate; once they fall to the ground, the tool can be damaged. Good explanation
I would think it can handle pool chemicals; 3M's website should have info on cartridge selection. I've used it without issue to spray solvent-based automotive paints.
If you're referring to the DensShield, it's not the typical drywall/gypsum board. It's specifically made for tiling, and it includes a water-resistant coating on its face and a fiberglass backing.
I’ve got the exact same compressor. I need to get a boroscope and take a look inside mine. I’m afraid to run it up to full pressure right now. Thanks for the video!
One of the blades would not spin. The mower would start but then shut off because I assumed that the stuck blade would not allow it to stay on. I turned the mower on its side and sprayed the blade and on cooper section of the motor which is visible if you turn it over with WD40. The blade spins great but now the mower won't even start up. Did I mess up the motor by spraying it or oversaturating it with wd40?
The heights mentioned are just a guideline. Of course, some shorter individuals have larger heads. Even though the straps are adjustable, the mask will not seal correctly against the face if it's too large.
