Good morning! Thank you for making this video! I just recently took the old carpeting off of our 100 year old porch and I needed to figure out how to fix it, your video helped out a lot and gave me a great starting point which I really appreciate. The home we live in is my husbands childhood home and we want to do what we can to make it shine once more! I do however have one quick question for you, since we will be putting a new carpet on the porch would it be okay if after sanding and cleaning the wood if we used Thompson water seal on it to preserve the wood? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for checking out the video. I don't know much about Thompson's Water Seal, but I read on their site that glue should not be applied over it - wasn't sure if you were planning on gluing the carpet to the porch: www.thompsonsweatherproofing.co.uk/faqs/
