this was helpful. but when I start new project - I hear noise from the plugin but I'm not pressing anything; something is on and I can't figure out what to turn off. any clue? note, I just got my MPC today and updated to the Beta 3.
@whennatecreate I got the key 37 brand new. I did try that and as soon as I add a plugin it makes noise, like a quarter note continuously. Like it's automatically auditioning the plugin, yet it keeps playing. Also, I can play over it simultaneously. 🤦🏾🤷🏾♂️😅 This didn't happen until I updated to beta 3 lol so in my first few hours a lot has changed. Finally, when I tried recording a beat I got no sound when I hit playback. But pads had sound when recording. 🤷🏾♂️
MPC Public Beta 3. Hmmm, I’m not sure how stable that update is on different machines. I’ve been looking at it on my MPC and found some issues but nothing like yours. Maybe you should report your issues, and contact support for more help🎯
@rileylawsmusic I'd go through all ports to make sure you have all your devices connected. Certain external instruments and controllers have specific drivers. Double-check the driver updates and reset to default settings, and connect your MPC, etc individually. Also, check and reset (if needed*), your main soundcard. Could be as simple as a cable switch, or the multi hub maybe a dud or have connector/port read issues. Hope this helps. Peace.
hey man, i just got this, coming from machine... they've just changed it to mpc3 and now I'm lost again.. ha Can you please make a mpc3 one of these? You are the very best at it, teaching, on RU-vid.

So will you copy that to the next sequence when you don't want the automation to come in and Switchback to the original sequence with automation when you want it to come in songmode? Like sequence 1 got automation but sequence 2 doesn't haven't it u feel where i coming from?

Can anyone help me out with a question I have before I pull the trigger on the MPC X: I have a two hardware synths and a Moog Spectravox that I wish to connect at the same time to the MPC, but how is this possible via the rear panel? Can you connect two stereo signals and one mono all at the same time?

Even though I have an MPC Live II that I barely know how to use, when I saw the opportunity to buy a flawless openbox MPC X SE for$1680. I had to get it. Only issue was missing IEC cable.
Great video. I'm learning my MPC X SE. When I switch the expansion pack for more sounds, my beat plays on the newly selected expansion. How do I stop this from happening so I can add sounds from different expansions?

@@whennatecreate First, Thank you for responding. I am so busy working and fixing cars. I rarely have time to learn my MPC. I load up sounds or expansions. I press play then record when I want to start. So now I have some of my beat but when I switch to another expansion or instrument, what I made so far will play in that new instrument or expansion that I am trying to add to my beat. So if I change to Piano, what I made so far will play in only piano instead of Pad Thai 3.
@@whennatecreatemmm No. I press stop. then I load up new sound or expansion. Then when I press play to practice what or where I want to add the new sound, what I am expecting to play in Pad Thai 3, plays in all piano (for example)
Akai needs to stop. I understand it's about business, but in 2024 processing power, and ram should not be an issue. Constantly introducing machines with a slight bump up and processing power. Also Ram. Smdh. I don't care about new machines. I would much rather have a stronger system. We would pay for it in the 1990s we paid $4000 for a MPC 4000. I'm not saying they should charge that much. All I'm saying is that they can't use the price as an excuse. The new stems feature sounds horrible on the standalone because of the processing power come on now.
I'm going to piggy back, on your subject....apparently it's evident that a Modular System is needed for the MPCs to upgrade, but apart from that the IMPC needs to be updated and have STEMS also,it will do an excellent job vs the MPCs STEMS, furthermore....if Akai drops the iMPC 3,I strongly suggest Akai implement the usage between the iMPC App and the 2.0....or maybe it will commence when 3.0 drops 😮😮, Akai needs to act right with the community...Peace Family

It’s good to hear I’m not the only one who needs a little refresher to get back to making the magic happen as you do in your videos! We’re human right? The quality varies based on the sample.i sample al green from my phone on RU-vid and it came out clear so i got cockey. But when i sampled today it sounded like mudd😂
@@whennatecreate hey man thanks just wondering because I want to get one of these but don’t fully understand some things. So you are able to plug directly into speakers or the tv etc or are those cables just to your PC and you are listening through your headset?
@@whennatecreate how much you charge for a personal step by step video on how to use the complete software of the mpc all the bells and whistles a lot of mpc software looks redundant like samples being key groups and plugins being effects I thought plug in were just instruments fits over complicated instead of simple like korg software or Roland software !
