In this video I will be removing my OEM gas tank and installing an FCS Fuel Cell. I have never installed a fuel cell before, so follow along as figure out how to make it work.

Your freaky distal joints bend backwards more than my fingers flex in the correct direction. Gives me cold shivers every time. Your videos give good advice, regardless of what vehicle you are wrenching on. Air gaps/ voids are a safety feature designed into tanks/ fuel cells, to reduce shock waves and make them more resilient in a collision (gases are more compressible than liquids) and to reduce suction acting against the fuel lines as the fuel in the tank is depleted. Thank you for sharing and entertaining.

A fuel sender is essentially a variable resistor so all your fuel gauge is doing is giving you a reading based off an altered voltage. So you were definitely correct by grounding it but only problem is different senders have different resistance so you may not get the most accurate readings.

You're correct, my gauge does not read accurately with this universal sending unit.

Wouldn't leaving the OEM fuel sending plug unattached to anything leave you open to wiring diag issues? Great informational video!

So FCS does make nice stuff. But they need more videos on how to install their products. I would have used rubber tape on the tank. I just finished installing the dual tank. And nothing lined up. Like you, if you have mechanical skills you'll be able to make it work.

They do make nice stuff lol... I agree, I think they need to give a little more direction of how to install their products. In the end everything worked out, but I'll be honest, while I was in the process of installing I wanted to rip my hair out at certain times lol

5:35 I wish my car still looked this clean underneath. I drove it through 1 Michigan winter and now I have to clean up a bunch of rust. which I'm not entirely sure how to do so besides with a wire wheel

Ouch! If you can get it dealt with, then coat it with some marine paint or rino liner spray or something to keep it from getting worse. Ugh, I guess that's a benefit of being in Florida and not having to deal with the salted roads.

Hmmm, I don't have a specific car to mention. Unfortunatly, I haven't had a good 1/4 mile run as yet. The last time I was at the track my transmission was messed up and I was having problems getting 3rd and 4th gear in. My best time with the messed up transmission was 12.1

If you're asking about fittings, then no. The tank only comes with the mounting straps and bolts and nuts.

@@Aisha_LadyBuilt I did indeed check out the website I did not see one on there also that shits crazy expensive 4,000 for an awd kit hcp makes one for like 2, and 800$ for a fuel cell I can do 1 of 2 things get a custom tank made or I can by like 6 cheap fuel cells and a good inline pump. Crazzyness

Unfortunatly not. They do have a twin tank version that allows space for the drive shaft for AWD.
