Great Video! I just replaced my control module and will look at replacing the motor on the bad unit that I removed! Your video was one of the best that I have seen on this subject!
I have ice still frozen in the unit. but, no ice is coming out. This fridge is 23 years old. Got my moneys work from it for sure! So, what is the part I need? The little blades are not showing. What about the heating part of it to loosen the ice? Could that be the issue? Also, your fridge looks like it still has power. Did you not unplug it before taking it apart?
My ice control arm popped off. Now after reattaching it, Ice maker makes too much ice. Control arm moves when Ice is harvested, yet it does not stop making ice when the bin is full and control arm stops on top of ice pile. Also, If I put control arm into top position, I hear a click; nevertheless, the ice maker continues to make ice??? . Any fixes for this???
Instead of waiting hours for the unit to cycle you could pop the cover off the front and stick s jumper wire in the holes at the bottom marked T and B. If your ice maker is working, within 1 min the unit will start to rotate. If it doesn't then the ice maker is in need of repair. One note though NEVER rotate the cam by hand. This will save you hours of time and I use it every day on my appliance repair job.
I am very new to the rc community. Just wanted to say this is the only video that I have found where the maker actually goes through and gives the measurements of every section of the build. Unless you want to pay. But for me I wanted to try to make my own to see if I really want to do this long term. So thank you for your video. I am starting this build today. Thanks again.
I need help will this work with the 9101 …got a couple days ago and didn’t notice it was missing antenna on tx it’s a 49mhz and it wouldn’t keep a signal father than five feet so I ordered a 98cm antenna for it and it works was flying several times today outside in 7mph winds and it stayed in air and had no problems keeping it in the air but the thing will not go forward or back hardly …my tail blade is curved and not straight like others I see and it facing up not sideways or downward like I’ve seen …ppl tell me not to bother with it but I like it and would like to convert it and make it single blade if possible and direct drive motor and extra servo like u did …help me please can it be done ?
Wow, that motor replacement couldn't be simpler provided someone shows you how to do it. I just replace my entire icemaker as the coating on the ice mold tray is old, blistering and flaking off. Anyhow, I salvaged the original motor and added it to my surplus parts collection. Thank you for sharing this.
The hole to the left which signals the water to run has burnt out. The tiny copper sheets. How to I fix that part? The module runs and runs well but no water due to that area being burnt out.

I like it; it is a simple way to compare the changes made to the setup. The values for the thrust will have errors due to unaccounted torque vectors in the setup, but they should be more or less equal for the various setups and therefore not affect the comparison. So, as my father-in-law would say "Good enough for the girls we go with." I always appreciate simple setups that focus more on the differentials rather than absolute empirical values. Users/people and most systems in the real world are about comparisons/differentials (~analog) of various parameters, not the actual value for that parameter.(~digital) The engineer in me likes the numbers, but the mechanic in me wants the useable result.
For those watching this video: Take my advice people, DO NOT CUT WIRES! The entire motor module assembly that he took off containing the motor and gear box is very inexpensive, anywhere between $20 to $30 and believe me it is worth it. A lot of bad example shown in this video. ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS disconnect the power and cut off the water supply before doing this job. It's very quick and easy to do so. It won't hurt any items in your refrigerator or freezer since it won't be off very long and it will also allow things to reset properly especially since you are installing a new electrical part for the ice maker. Cutting wires and then pushing them down like he does in this video is a very bad idea. Moisture could get in and short something out and then you will be spending double money. Please get the complete part the first time and avoid the advice from this horrible video. Guy apparently trying to pass off a shortcut. Remember, shortcuts will create deep cuts in YOUR WALLET.
Was originally going to order an entire new ice maker, then i stumble upon this video, where for $29 bucks I could replace the entire Motor module control. worked like a charm! couldn't have been easier --- the hardest part was taking the plastic over off the front of the machine to be honest! if people are scared about just replacing the motor, i purchased the entire module and it was a breeze and mentioned in the note.
The replacement batteries are about 30 dollars. And another battery charger and battery pack that you have look for ever for. It is very helpful when they put up links to where you can get the batteries and the charger. Very informative video.

Denny's 30 win season, and all the excitement and magic around that time. Sad Tiger Stadium is gone, but the best memories that I have as a child were wrapped around The Tigers. God Bless
