When learning songs, I have disciplined myself to learn a chorus/verse a week at most, even when I could have gone faster. Not only has this improved me on each one but it really helps me remember them. My method then is: Week 1: Learn verse 1 Week 2: Learn verse 1 and 2 Week 3: Learn verse 3 and 1 and 2. And so on. I managed even to completely remember a 21 verse song with this.
Thanks Liam, I’ve experienced the high and lows. I keep playing Amazing Grace and I know all the notes but just can’t get it to sound like it should. Know I have to keep playing it and I will but Lord it’s got to sound better I hope.Nice schooling Liam,

Ever so glad you didn't suggest we stick our little finger into the lecky for that spark. Heh heh bzzzt. After 6 or more decad3s practising guitars I must admit these days small gains in playing my moothies give me great pleasure and although being obsequious ain't my thing I will say that you"ve brought me much joy in your teachings and I love your style and approach. Ha, the road to greatness usually ends up with me crashing and burning. Liam, I've no aspirations as far as greatness is concerned but I'd love to play my harps with confidence and a wee bit o' style. Yeah, peaks n troughs with life and playing for sure . It's the breathing as well that i need to work on. Wheezing and spluttering aside 😂 it's all good. Thankyou sir.
Nice editing Liam, haven't watched your videos lately (or any RU-vid video for that matter) so I don't know if this is new but it definitely looks nicer 👍.
