How can anyone suck at building an AR? You just get the parts and drop them in, no skill required. Oh there are those out there that tell you that you must be a fully trained person to build on, but trust me, as a decades long gunsmith who has worked on tens of thousands of guns, the task is a no brainier.
Both are good options but with some of the stuff companies like psa are coming out with now I would likely buy one then upgrade it over time. The psa saber is a very cool gun. Granted most people don’t shoot enough to need spare parts but going this route you will have spare parts.
I think that the Gen 3 is the bread and butter for GLOCK. I think that they'll make the Gen 3 forever as long as they're in business. If you look closely at the polymer frames between the gen 3 and the Gen 4 you will see that the Gen 3 is much more robust.
