A bit outdated (FF cameras are now smaller than cropped/reflex) but it convinced me not to switch from 80D to R8 until I start making (serious) money with this hobby. Thank you!
I want a Canon EF capable. What did 5D Mk3 bring over the Mk2. Or is the Mk2 still that legendary? Does 24mm of M50 look as crisp as 21Mp of 5D Mk2 (less crop)?
Very good clear ideas i will practice inproving on. I have a sleeping racoon that i can shoot for an hour or so at a time if hes facing me .after i get plenty of good clear vid and pics i can try M with those tips using maybe the auto ISO as well.
Thank you for this excellent video. Extremely effective to demonstrate the effects when changing settings on the camera by using the fan and figurines. Im 67 y.o. so my experience is all 35mm SLR. It was easier in the day as your ISO level was printed on the box when you bought the film. If you bought Ektachrome 64 you set the ISO to 64 and shot the roll. If you had a low light situation you might choose Kodachrome 400 for prints. The 10:38 point being the ISO setting was set before you started shooting pics and left it there until the roll was finished. The DSLR world allows more options as it is possible to set the ISO anytime. Again, thank you for producing such an excellent tutorial
I have just got a camera, canon EOS 1100 d, love the way you have explained, I would like to know about the symbols shown on the switch of my camera for it is used and when do you use it please guide me on it thanks.
Can you please show the settings for the canon EOS 70D? I can't seem to find the shutter speed setting and the aperture setting but i found the iso setting.
I prefer the lenses and images from Nikon cameras though. Z5 or Z6 are the only budget options The rf24-240 is a lens that interests me but it's way too much. And no ibis is a biggy for me. I've not had a camera without it for ten years now.
R7 sounds good on paper but it is relatively expensive for a small sensor camera. Unless a person needs the high speed capability of the camera as well as the additional reach from the small sensor, you can get a camera that is about as capable for a lot less money.
Nice video Hyun but the concept 'lens compression' is misleading because it make you think compression is a property of lenses and focal lengths and that's not the case. You can get the exactly the same results in terms of compression by using wide angle or telephoto lenses, the later have not more intrinsic compression than wide angle lenses because compression is not a property of the lens but of the distance to the subject. That's why people shouldn't use the term 'lens compression' but 'perspective compression' instead. Now, of course we typically use telephoto lenses to take portraits because if we use wide angle lenses and we want to get the same compression effect we would have to crop the image on the wide angle lens and that's not ideal. So there is a sense why people say that telephoto lenses are good if you want to compress the background but that is not because of any intrinsic property of the telephoto but because you don't need to crop the image as you would have to do with a wide angle lens to obtain the same compression. This video by Fstoppers explains very clearly the real concept of 'perspective compression' and why the notion of 'lens compression' is technically wrong: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_TTXY1Se0eg.html
Buy the new beginner camera, it will be much easier and give instant good results. The old pro will probably be worse with everything. Cameras gotten a lot better recently.
That’s not true, look at the picture quality, the colours of the 5D are so much better. Mirrorless cameras are trash, it’s a shame they don’t make new DSLRs
@@Racing_Fox413 Because of this remark: Mirrorless cameras are trash, it’s a shame they don’t make new DSLRs. I call that generalizing every new camera of any brand to be trash. That has nothing to do with preferring features. It`s wanting to stay behind to be different.
@@brugj03 mirrorless cameras regardless of the make lack the same feature. Optical viewfinders. As a result they need to keep their sensor on for longer which kills battery life. A single 1DX battery can keep you going all day. With a mirrorless camera like an R6 you’d need 3-4 batteries for that So no I’m not generalising. It’s a fundamental flaw in ALL mirrorless cameras.
please make a video bro where you solve that big cube with lots of red in the middle, thanks for good explanation. I remember these things by feelings, and check up on what it means (Shutter speed, iso, etc.) every couple of years to make sure I remember it correctly.
Crazy how what would have once been considered as a 'PRO' camera is now somehow a beginner camera. I always thought its the person and not the tools they use that determine their skill level.
Amazing! I just got the Csnon sx740 and while I love the AV mode with some tweaks I made, I was too intimidated to mess with Manual. But this is what I carry everyday, I live in NYC and I want to get the most out of this camera, without feeling like I have to invest in a new one. This breakdown was so comprehensive! Thank you, cant wait to go practice!!😊
I am looking for a lightweight and compact camera to use on high altitude expeditions in the Himalayas. and I am expecting to get good quality photos and videos of other mountains from the top of the summit. Canon M 50? which would be a great? I'll be very grateful if you guide me. Thank you.
