Seems Bhagwanji referred to Pamir on quite a few occasions where he stayed for significant length of time. Which region in former Soviet bloc was he referring to? My best guess is that he was referring to either Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan or Kazakstan because of proximity to China. My guess is that most likely it was Kyrgyzstan that was among the more developed republics with good education system.

My grandfather was posted as a British clerk at Manipur and he was in constant touch with INA members at that time. He used to tell glorying tales of Netaji to me. He laughed at the Plane crash theory and said keep on waiting. Later before his death he wanted to go to Faizabad urgently but was not willing to give reasons for it. At that time my parents who were simple shopkeepers could not afford trips and he died without fulfilling his last wish. Now after following your videos for past few months, i know why he want to visit Faizabad so badly. Now the connection between him and INA and Netaji seems clear to me.
