in Korean, iyagi means "story" or "journey" I like to share my experiences in mostly hi-fi and tech. I call it a "Journey" I get overly excited about new innovations. Oh, and I also vlog, meditate on my EVs, drink Matcha, lots and lots of Matcha... the typical geek !

I have the Audions, is the Denafrips Athena still a great preamp choice? Ive read that tube preamps may be a good idea also. Does anyone have preamp suggestions? Currently using Topping Pre90 and sounds great, but it feels like the pre may be letting the side down a little for me on a couple of things. Thanks.
The quality of product from Inside is very bad even pcb holes to mount components is bad I stay away from kinki studios also plastic connector are very cheap quality
This is not a fair comparison from the prices point of view. I would be a closer comparison to have 2 SVS 3000 micro, one Kef and another more expensive REL subwoofer or two less expensive 😂
🎉🎉🎉 Congrats on your 💯k subscribers milestone. Your speakers' reviews are authentic and informative. Super thankful from audiophiles and hobbyists around the world.
A speaker that really captured my attention and curiosity was the Klipsch La Scala. I remember being pretty amazed when I heard it at a friend's place, it sounded so different. I would love to hear them again, in my space against other speakers to really see if they were that great or not. But I had the chance to listen to a pair of Focal 1038Be and they were pretty amazing, possibly the best I have had the opportunity to listen to?
I don’t get it. I just went through several videos (sorry getting caught up) and watched you melt over KLH speakers and yet….they didn’t make your “Best of” list? Am I missing something? And I’d like to preface I don’t own nor am I a fanboy of KLH speakers. It’s as if the channel just pushes sales/content….everything is about the same?
Klh model 5s are still fantastic speakers. If you remember, it was a close call between the buchardt s400 mkii and the KLH model 5 back in 2022. But ultimately I found that the S400 mkii are overall better performers as is the Arendal 1723 THX s monitor.
Jay literally said the KLH model 5s are amazing and unique sound but S400 mkii more refined audiophile sound. Two completely different designs… Don’t point fingers at jay for your lack of understanding. I own both the KLH model 5 and buchardt S400 mkii after Jay’s reviews and agree with him. Both excellent but different and lovely in their own ways.
Congratulations on reaching 100,000 subscribers! Your hard work and dedication to the Hi-Fi community are truly inspiring. I’ve always admired your in-depth video reviews, particularly for lesser-known brands like Buchardt and Arendal. Your content has been invaluable in helping me discover new and exciting audio options, due to the fact that here in the UK only more mainstream products are the only options. I’d love to suggest checking out the QUALIO IQ Ultra. Based on your reviews of other high-performance speakers, I believe they would be a fantastic addition to your reference system. Thank you again for your contributions to the Hi-Fi world.
Congrats, Jay! Your hard work is well deserved! I have found out that while watching your videos are informative, professional, and educational at the same time, and they are getting better every day. I totally agree with you regarding your 2024 favorite speaker list, especially the PlatiMon and TAD, which are my dream and endgame speakers for me (for now 😆). And again, congratulations, keep up your good work Sir!
Lots of great speakers on your list, and as you said, once you are above a certain price point they are all very very good... just each usually different from one another, rather than outright better or worse. Though I will say, you should really try to hear a pair of Trenner & Friedl ART II's at some point. Hand made in Austria with excellent internal components... Mundorf caps, Cardas internal wiring. There is a version 3 with the black colored woofer, and a newest model with a new woofer and also a passive woofer on the backside of the speaker for more substantial low end. I've had Revival Atalante 3's, Dynaudio Heritage Special, Audiovector R1 Arrete, mid-upper level Proac's, Yamaha NS-3000, Sonus Faber Olympica Nova, B&W 805 D4... and the Trenner's are the best of all of them. Perfect tone, timber/texture, transparency, timing, dynamic and free-from-the-cabinet, imaging precision/definition of instruments and vocals, and an incredible depth/layering/3-dimensionality to the soundstage... just sublime all around, and sound MUCH larger than they actually are. So glad I took a chance on them, much less expensive than most of the other speakers I have listed above, but outperform them in almost all sonic areas. Extremely highly recommended!
Over many years ive owned B&W 802F, Belle Klipsch, Energy 22 Connoisseur, Focal Kanta 2s, and now Fyne Audio F1-8s with their stands. Ive loved them all. They all had something special they brought to the table. I wish i could have kept them all but i think the best one overall would be the F1-8s. Interestingly all the products i currently own and consider my best rig so far, including a Gold Note DS10 streamer, and my beloved Galion TS120 integrated tube amp, witch will by next week be running with a complete set of Cryotone tubes, i purchased because of reviews from high quality people like Jay and Thomas and Loki at HI-FI Cave and others. Ihad never heard any of it before but it works all real well together. The best ive had since i started this hobby in 1972. Thanks for what you do. The hobby, or serious business to us, is in great hands.
I've wanted somebody to do a finely granular study comparing audio tastes of both races and national sectors. I suspect that there is something to find.
@@Jayiyagi please tell me, your impression, compared to the 1723 THX? looking to buy a pair of 1528. Already own the 1723THX as per your Recomendation.
