Always end your stops in gear, not coasting.. you have no way to move quickly and you wear out your clutch brake… end in first so your not mashing the clutch to the floor and using the clutch brake at every stop…also using “lo” gear in high range is a big no no…it’s not designed for the torque…
i never remembered your channel name but i just got recommended one of your old videos. you were the first trucker vlogger i watched when i was a kid and now i start cdl school tomorrow. thanks for the videos.
""I JUST GO UP TO 12TH-GEAR BECAUSE I DO NOTNEED A TICKET BASED ON A MOVING-VIOLATION, ""ESPECIALLY FOR A TRUCK THAT DOESN'T HAVE A GOVERNOR-DEVICE""!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
""I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EATON-FULLER 13-SPEEDS AND EATON-FULLER 18-SPEEDS, ""I LOVE THEPOWER AND THESTRONG REARENDS FOR MOUNTAIN-DRIVING""!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aautssch - grrrößter fehler des truckers , daumen im lenkrad - der gehört nach außen , wenn ein reifen an der lenkachse platzt , kann das lenkrad deinen daumen brechen ! biggest mistake of a trucker is to put his thumb inside the steeringwheel , if a wheel bursts the steeringwheel can broke ur thumb !
That's a fuel water separator most newer ones have auto prime the fuel filter is the white one by the motor. So you still have not change one yet get out your manual and read it.
Or just put in the truck and toss it out the window on the highway, give the highway maintence guys something to clean up,they need to stay busy also, gets boring for them picking up dead animal carcus daily, change it up abit
Can’t believe I’m still subscribed to this channel. It’s been about 10 years that I’ve gotten my cdl, but right before I started cdl training I subscribed to your channel to get some idea of how it was otr. You made it look fun and intriguing. This is some kind of nostalgia. Hope you doing alright!, maybe an update in the future?. Fav video. Life on the road drive 3.
WOW, what an amazing Video, phantastic views, please do more of them, please if possible longest lasting possible from underneath drivers cab floor, to open view while driving on pedal segments activated by drivers feet in the cabin and steering linkage....would be awesome to save pics of this still mechanical technology threatened and some day replaced by boring new electric drives....Surely will attract many followers...THANK YOU so much IN ADVANCE

Seeing the interior of that 386 reminds me of the company 386 my dad used to drive years ago. Had a Qualcomm, just like that, used to play all the games on there, like Space Pinball, Spider Solitare, Minesweeper... Good times, good times.
Yeah but if you have no cell service or like on 9/11 the cell network went down because it was overloaded. CB are great but there's isn't a lot of traffic on it. I have one for emergencies. And CB are just cool Man. Don't let CB radio die!
I am a new driver finished my first solo run from Colorado to Georgia have been shitting bullets over winter driving, grew up and live in the mountains in Colorado, I drive a RWD cargo van in the winter have to chain up to get anywhere. And winter driving in a semi just scares the crap out of me. This made me feel a lot better being able to somewhat know what to expect and I really appreciate your video. It's a big deal to me
I’m just seeing this post and watched your video. You said you’ve been trucking for six months at that time. You’re a veteran if still in the business. I’m just exploring trucking for my final career since I retired three years ago and have crossed over 60 recently and sick and tired of golfing and fishing and watching the sprinklers going back and forth. I’m interested in OTR and researching trucking schools to get my CDL. Someone is going to see my post in ten or twelve years and I’ll be a veteran by then or retired for the last time. It’s been an interesting trip so far.
having a hard time shifting...so double clutch in words pls ...female learning clutch neutral clutch....gear? is ur clutch all the way out on 2nd clutch b4 gear or is clutch barely out????? i watch these videos and get confused can someone pls write this out i words
Opening a semi door as the truck is in motion is not only kinda dumb but very dangerous I would advise all my trucking family to keep your set belt on and door closed until the truck has come to a stop and in in natural with the breaks activated be smart drive responsible.
All trucks are equipped with adjustable rear view mirrors it's dangerous and an attempt to get attention if you can't park your truck without opening the door further driver training is necessary 😉
