You got any tips for keeping track of targets while in a dogfight? I've played sim with both VR and Head Tracking using both props and high-tier jets, and I always struggle to keep track of those black dots, even in my J35XS with the IRST.
@@ATC83 Is there a technique for doing that, or is it something that just comes with time? It's especially difficult for me to spot planes when there's terrain behind them, so learning how to do that would be a great help.
@@purplfedora800 Yeah same for me against the background. You have to really concentrate on looking for movement, it's not like just looking around, I don't know how else to put it
Unforyunatly Warthunder sim is too bad.. in reality fighter don't fly alone, IRL, or if the spit got a wingman, you must be dead max 10sec after being on he's six... Warthunder FM is so bad, can feel the way the physics in this game allow you to do things you cant do , or just cant happend irl And this spit pilote haddle well is plane for sure, but is not a "experten" pilot, in this scenario... expert pilot will not let the enemy gain the CO-energy / CO-altitude situation, he will always maintain is energy advantage.. And even if is in this situation , considering the altitude at the merge, he can dive away and go faster than the Ki, and the ki will never catch So he's not a good pilote, you ether, and the FM even the physics in is globality are dogshit
Had the spitfire gone into a dive and lured the Ki he would have easily overan him. Instead, the spitfire got itself into a situation where he was in a disadvantage.
He should have dived right away, absolutely, but to escape, not to lure me. He did try hard to lure me and make me overshoot, but the Ki-43 is much lighter than the Spit and thus can slow down much quicker
Have you considered trying this out in biplanes/low-tier? I think it'd be epic considering the open cockpits and almost ww1 type dogfights you could get.
I already did, and it was epic indeed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GxMl6YGcKtc.html, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xPgl0Mz03PY.html. I should do it again though
Thanks friend! I mostly spent my time doing MSFS 360° vids for my other channel lately. WT is still fun, if a little "arcady" (I only play "historical" games JP vs US/GB when I do play, I hate those user made mixed games)
Surprised that the Spitfire did not hit the deck upon realizing that a Ki-43 was following him. He had a slight height advantage and a definite horsepower advantage. Odd that he didn't use it!
Youll basically always find populated matches. Sim is dead in terms of non existing Development by Gaijin on the mode. Sim with headtracking/VR and a Joystick can be as fun as it looks!
