My aim was awfully bad, but I had great fun again today flying the Sopwith Camel in a swarm of German planes :) I Shot down 3 planes during this sortie but didn't make it back...

• Thrustmaster Warthog (HOTAS)
• Thrustmaster TPR (Rudder Pedals)
• HP Reverb G2 (VR Headset)
• Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant (Additional Axis)
PC Specs:
• RTX 2080 Ti
• I9 7940x
• 64 GB DDR4 RAM

The pilots say that the Camel was one of the most difficult planes to master, many beginners actually died during takeoffs. But once you learned to fly it, then oh man.

Ngl I tried the Fokker D.VII first, and it was much easier to fly, but I feel more can be asked of the Camel once you get to know it (if you're still alive lol)

salute to both of you WW1 players. I have no idea how to fly these box-kites, their maneuvers defy logic!

@ATC83 how did you learn to take off and manage engine?

@@thefreestyler25.warthunder The Camel is pretty easy, you only have to manage the throttle and the mixture. 100% mixture to start the engine, then 85% to take-off and then reduce it progressively if you want to fly high, you can hear (or see on the gauge) the rpm going down if your mixture is too high or too low
