At first I thought it was a P-51 and wasn't worried too much but I soon realized it was an American captured Ki-61... I was really lucky he stalled at the last second cause I wasn't winning this fight :)

Thanks! As a general rule, don't go up when someone surprises you, always go down. @ATC83 thank you lot for your videos. Saddly they usually catch me when flying low since everyone fly low and you cant see enemy if youre high 😔

@@user-em2rk3em2i Maybe try to fly a little higher and look closely for movement below. Midmap AAA tracer colors can also indicate the presence of an enemy (for example if you're playing Axis, the green tracers AAA's will always fire at your enemies)

@@ATC83 yeah he did good too, it's extremely hard to slot into your 6. Then again, its the deck, and slips on the deck means game over. You guys were playing a dangerous game on the deck!

Thought he had you…and so did he 😊 What do you think ox the new gun sounds? On the spits I preferred the old one. Seems very dull and muffled now.

Thought he had me too :) They said the gun sounds are "brighter and clearer", but yeah it's quite the opposite... On the other hand Japanese Type 99 20mm (and others like the Ho-155 30mm) had some sort of echo, which was not very realistic (at least when flying at altitude), and that's gone

@@ATC83 yes reverb should only happen when there is a surface near enough to bounce off. The moon doesn’t count :) gaijin realistic-ness lol.

@@ATC83 just noticed its actually the .303s that sound so dull, like you have a towel stuck in each ear. The 20mm arent as bad, it was because i was firing all guns that i though the cannons sucked.

@@Avetorro I didn't try the Spitfire guns since the update yet. Do the .50 cal on the e-wing sound better than the .303? The new wing tip contrails look cool to me, if a little too visible

@@ATC83 wait till you get to 6000m, cant see behind you at all in a bomber lol. The twin. 20mm vary in sound, thd mkVc sounds dull but the mk22 and mk24 sound brighter .

It's impossible to lose in a J2M2. The most busted plane in War Thunder IMO. Maybe XP-50 is better

Impossible is a tad strong :) No, XP-50 isn't better, I regularily kill them in the J2M2 and J2M3. I'm much more afraid of Spitfires (when flown by a good pilot) and ofc captured Japanese planes

@@ATC83 In the case of Ki-61, that plane gets outclimbed by the 2.7-3.0 BF109 F. The J2M2 has crazy power in the climb, so can I just climb and dive on them over and over?

@@leeham6230 You ask if you can BnZ the J2M2 with a 109 F? Yeah ofc you can but you better have a great altitude advantage in the beginning, cause like you said the J2 has huge power in the vertical and could regain advantage over time

@@leeham6230 Yeah that you can ofc. If a Japanese plane surprises you at rather low altitude tho, it's an other story entirely as you won't be able to escape by just climbing. In that video I wasn't careful cause I thought I was attacking a P-51, and was almost shot down because of that
