Often a waiting game for photographers too. lost track of the number of times I've waited for a train that I thought was coming but it didn't turn up. It's not like you can hide on a railway. lol
I waited for 2 hours at Ebenezer for 1089 but it never came. Did it brake down or did it reverse into the yard next to the signal box and went straight to the work shops?
I don't know for sure, but I don't think Ebeneezer was part of the plan today. I was only at Sherwood. Would have been very frustrating making the trip out there when nothing came.
Sorry Felipe, I've been away without internet access. I believe they ran a few days while I was away, but I don't know if any more training runs are planned.
You're on my turf there Alan! I attended a fault on the crossover at SHerwood last week....it's always playing up! I'm on nights this week , so will be working on points somewhere in your video ..LOL. Cheers Gregg.
yes I think I only counted 6 containers on the front of the train. It is called a sea train as it travels from and inland hub at Emerald to the port of Brisbane. It's been running for over a year now and brings containerized local grain and produce to the sea port. Linfox does similar with containerised freight to north Queensland using Aurizon trains. They run to a timetable and sometime don't have anywhere near a full load.
Hi Elijah, Spring Bluff is a passing loop. the track either side of it is a single track. So trains traveling in opposite directions, meet here to pass each other. From the station you can't see where the two tracks join to become one. Once the train coming in the opposite direction has cleared the single track, the points change so this train can proceed onto the clear track.
Nice, I like this one because I am thinking of doing a QR line layout. Also looking to do an American themed layout. Lots of good ideas here. Thanks for posting. Really well captured. Regards.
