I am a music producer, film composer, and musicologist. In this channel, I want to share with you my knowledge and over two decades of experience in music production, mixing, mastering, sound design, and my excitement about gear, synths, and audio secrets.
Hi Dom, The faders look blurry to my eyes and many others. Look at the Cubase 12 faders. They look pin sharp . Not on Cubase 13. I have tried and many others , especially older guys get this problem who wear glasses. Even with glasses Cubase 12 looks pristine compared to 13. Can you get this addressed with the designers as no one will listen. It would be much appreciated. It is just the faders. Everything else looks great.
Interested in Cubase for the chord pads. Cubase interface looks so damn bland and boring though. Just demoed Ableton live and that daw is so dope. Daw looks 10 times better than Cubase. Coming from logic.
This kit sounds really awesome. pure 80`s sound i love it !.. Small off topic if i may... If im not wrong You mention in one of Your previous videos that one of Your favourite acoustic / classic guitar sample libraries is come from Illia Efimov. May i ask what do You think about his "Electric" series? Like Telecaster or les paul ? or some bass from it? Greetings from Poland Dom
Should I use parallel compression on "plug-in" instruments (or do they already do most all of the basics to the sounds when they're creating them)? Or should I only use it mostly on "live" instruments? Not sure I'm using all the correct terminology here, hope my question is clear enough though>
So I have the new Console One Fader MK3, and it requires the plug-in on the insert channel in order to function in Cubase. I wonder if something changed between the beta release and the production release?
Leaving the taps off the clarinet ... exactly why the Irish wooden flute doesn't have keys for most of the notes, neither does the tin whistle (and my silver flute has holes in the keys (open keys) for much the same reason) and of course fiddle players adjust their intonation/pitch to match songs played in, say, D rather than use the even temperament of a piano, as well as for gypsy music etc. A lot of western instruments (including blues guitar, slide guitar etc.) adjust microtones for expression and temperament. p.s. World Percussion 2.0 is no longer available.
I have the exact setup... I love it. I actually tried the M/S function on the Fusion by inserting my Massive Passive. It was pretty interesting. I might try and experiment again with that.
Arranger chain is one of the most used features in our production, the time it takes to do this manually is better spent being creative. Also having the time of arrangement update with each part addition is so helpful! Thank you Dom for the extra tips and big smiles!
hi dom, awesome stuff. I am new to music production but hv been following your work for years now, thank you so much for making so many tutorials. they hv been really helpful. I hv a quick question, can we design lo fi drums with this plugin?
Hi Dom, amazing work as always! I'm a wee bit confused, because I bought the Modern 80s Kit v1.0 on 28th November, 2023 but I only have an email offering me V2.0 for £2, rather than an offer of a free upgrade. Have I missed something? Thanks again for all the amazing content - keep up the good work!
I was looking forward to updating but I decided against it when I got to the checkout. I don’t know why you need my mobile number to complete the purchase? Great vst though. Keep up the good work
Hey Steve, that’s odd- when exactly did it ask you for the mobile number? This is definitely not the case- the purchases are all done through PayPal and no such data is collected :) the only thing it will ask for is your email address so we can send the products.
@@stevesutubeoh I see! This is probably something that has to do with bank requirements so they can verify it’s you who’s making the purchase and to prevent fraud. It’s not something that comes through to me and I don’t get to see your phone number. In any case, thanks for clarifying Steve, I didn’t know this was happening if you opted for credit card payment :)
I’ve done it :) How To Finger Drum REALISTIC drums on the keyboard- The METHOD #fingerdrumming #tutorial ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TxD30s4jvcw.html
You select the track(s) you want to display then just shift clic "tick" from this track on the MixConsol Visibility . This also works better if you have tracks that are seperated and want them on faders nearby and is quite fast if you are using advances folders and display configurations.
Dom, I'm a bit confused... got all your products back then when released (Modern 80s Drum Kit + Claps Vault-POP + Modern 80s Drum Kit MAX). Besides this video, today just got an email to upgrade to the Modern 80s Drum Kit v2 for a good discount. Good, that's fair so far. But I see the Modern 80s Drum Kit MAX has been also updated to v1.1. Got that one back in December 2023 when it was released. Can I download this new version for free? If not, there's not an special update price? What about the Claps Vault? I see this one has been also updated to v2. How should I proceed to update it as a loyalty user of the previous version? By the way, you rule man!
Thank you my friend! If you already have the Max on V1.1, then you’re set! If you don’t you can use the link on the email you received originally and the download will be of V1.1! The Claps Vault was updated as well, but wasn’t ready when I shot this video! Do you also own the Claps Vault? There’s no official upgrade path yet for it but if you own it get in touch with us and Lindsay will take care of you :)
How was the oscilloscope implemented? I tried to add one in Halion 7 in the macro page but I could not succeed. I could display something but it didn’t work properly.
Your videos have helped me so much with learning Cubase and composing music in general, I was happy to support you by purchasing the MAX version a few months ago. Plus it sounds badass! Really appreciate the update!
