I really aim to look like an elegant dark woman, but it's difficult to be accurate with my essense. I know I'm a flamboyant natural Kibbe, but this is more difficult.
Aries sun and Venus, cap moon and mars, Sag rising. I have a stellium in cap and sag. I think style wise I resonate with both of those signs. I like a classic vibe with a bold twist.
I feel like in a still photo I’d have classic/dramatic essence, but my roommate told me my main essence was etherial because of how I move and interact with the world. I think that’s such an interesting thing to consider as you’re breaking down your aesthetic. But this completely explains all of my makeup choices. I always go for a gloss and sparkly eyeshadow and that is completely wrong for my kibbe type. But it feels right! I want to try more with flowing fabrics. Velvet and georgette feel like a good starting point.
Then maybe don't watch my videos? Also aesthetic existed as a term outside of the internet, it was heavily used & studied when I was in art school. If the term bothers you that much then maybe you need a break from the internet
Just saying "aesthetic" was used a lot in my art high school and college classes. Again, getting aggravated over a word is an indication you should take a break from the internet. This is such a minor thing to get heated up about
All of these examples were perfection! I did a bit of a Whimsigoth aesthetic for my wedding dress. I never feel that I look my best in white so I didn't even try. I found a beautiful sapphire blue gown and layered a gold lace and chain harness over it. I'm surprised that I didn't wear black but I felt like it was a special occasion and it required a color that I don't normally wear. I was desperately trying to find a ruby red but in 2021 things were so tough to find and in person shopping wasn't a comfortable thing. The blue was definitely a vibe.

I feel completely called out and I like it. 😭 you also hit the nail with water rising, my whole home is set to my needs and not everything needs a reason other than it heals my inner child 🥰 my sag moon approves of all of this!

i think rihanna is a soft dramatic he said sometimes he mistypes celebs as pictures can be deceiving also me and my cousin are 1000% theatrical romantics and we're both virgo risings which probably help with the dainty bones lol
My body essence is definitely romantic but my personality essence is definitely natural. Natural often doesn't look as good on me but suits me whereas romantic style looks good on me but doesn't suit me. I don't know how to mix those things honestly.
I love how japanese people can just take the porcelan doll, rococo and victorian era fashion and create lolita and then I who lives in one of the countries where the fashion was inspired from have to be mindful of "their" culture LOL
There is this telenovela, name "Chica vampiro" (2013) wear vampires have their own world, so everyone in the vampire world dress alternative and is so freaking funny to me, you should check it out. Some of the outfits are questionable, but may you can find something good in it, I trust you can.
I just realise my sister has both Gamine and Ingenue, both of them are fighting in her face to have the spotlight, she looks so cute when she dress like a doll, but also when once she cut her hair very short and sharp, with lots of lasher like "punk", she actually look really good, I was surprise!.
Is very interesting to me that in pirates of the caribbean 4, the mermaids have fangs and is implied that they eat men like pirates and sailors and maybe it seem dumb to say it, but this concept is so similar to vampires, when I was a child and I heard that mermaids sing and that makes men go into a trance and then the mermaid kills the men, I never thought of it as sort of similar to what vampires are, maybe because I always thought mermaids would eat other marine animals or vegetation. So I personally think that we could possibly have dark mermaids be a canon thing.
Wow this was fantastic I have been researching all of this for the past few weeks, it is fun to see that you have the dark aesthetic combined with the body types. I am a soft gamine. But I do have a dark aesthetic . I didn't know what I was because I have this dramatic look at the same time, I do have a pixie like a gamine would, I have white hair I am 55 years old but I have always been underneath a goth in spirit. I tend to wear a lot of black I have glasses similar to what you have on right now. And people say I have the personality of a gamine but the intensity of a dramatic. It's like "you're so fun and energetic but I wouldn't want to mess with you and get on the wrong side" like I'm very dominant. I always get put in managerial positions that I don't want to be in. The picture in my little bubble shows me with more hair but it is all gone now. But you can see the whiteness. I'm interested to know what you would cast me as? I am a little bit confused I am square and short 5ft1 1/2 square face square feet square hands square shoulders square everything and 155 lb. Am I truly a gamine?....
I had to find this to rewatch again , i think im a siren with a grunge sense of style. I love iridescents , i mainly wear black , purple , green, blue and grey and i live for long flowy skirts , dresses and trousers. I was actually thinking of buying some baroque pearls , theyre beautiful

I've your videos so much. They remind me I don't have ri stick to certain rules because of my Kibbe type. I'd love thos same video but with more distinction between dramatic and soft classic. I have pretty strong dramatic essence, and have, but with dramatic classic lines and bones. So a lot of the classic looks can feel lacking, while straight up dramatic looks overwhelm me and look boxy.

I went to Morocco recently and it got me reviving my love of Medieval aesthetics which then led me down a rabbit hole of falling in love with Medieval Futurism which is basically the same as Avant Apocalypse. Finding videos on these styles is tough. So glad I caught this one.
Wonderful video per usual, Melissa! I usually wear black widow/ladybug colors (black, red, and white in that in that order of preference), but I will wear dark blue, dark purple, and dark green as a contrast color on days where I don't want to wear red. I love that you include examples of real life/normal people inspirations and not just celebrities as examples!
I love a red/black moment! Ive been incorporating red more into my life even aside from clothes and lip colors like my phone case and keychains lol And thank you for noticing I try to diversify my muse lists, sometimes it is easier to use celebrities because they're public information but I love to use my friends or irl people when I can
I relate to Ryan and his Capricorn placements. I myself have so many Capricorn placements that it's easier to say which planets I don't have in Capricorn; for me, I have a Saturn Aquarius, Pluto and Jupiter Scorpio, Aries Rising, and the rest of my planets are in Capricorn. All my placements I think really congeal into my goth clothing, usually in black widow/ladybug colors, with leaning to an amalgamation of different goth subcategories and statement pieces.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for ever since I realized that I’m a soft autumn in the color seasons system and I couldn’t just change my whole aesthetic because of it but I still wanted to look my best especially in interviews and formal events while being true to my authentic style
