Read about Fort Jefferson in a boating magazine. Wanted to visit ever since. I was looking up Dr. Mudd and you showed the plaque. That's a unique story. Love the video!
Just curious, did you visit North Pole Alaska when you were in Fairbanks? It’s about 20 miles out of town and a quirky little community all its own with a year-round Christmas theme.
@@NickandJulie Different but not really separate. Like a lot of towns in California that aren’t LA but have merged into it. I understand. I graduated from North Pole High School. And sadly, because of its size, North Pole probably doesn’t rate a video all its own. Did you make it up to another local sight, Chena Hot Springs?
@NickandJulie a few years ago my husband and I took a motor boat tour out to Snipes (I think it was a sandbar?) . We all rode our our mini motor boats and followed the tour guy out there. It was so beautiful
You two have got good tans going on. Glacier ice in the florida keys probably hasn't been done often if ever until now. It looks like life is treating you well. Get in on some of the lobster diving going on, they go great with steak. Until next video, peace.
Why do so many people think going to Canada is such a big deal. I have been going to Canada for years. I have never been stopped by Canadian Border patrol. You will get a bigger hassle entering California. Just be polite don't carry any of the restricted items. and answer all of the questions asked. You really don't need to study it is not a test. These are general questions. The border guards are really watching your reactions to the questions. Now returning to the US is a different story. I have been stopped at US border station. But it was a random stop and check. I haven't had any problems crossing lately maybe because I am a frequent crosser once every other year or two.
I think maybe because they don’t do it often. Maybe a few times in their life so it may seem like a big deal. People are more prone to be anxious of the unknown (which it is if they don’t cross ever) especially when there’s questioning involved too.
I was first up there in the late 60's right after the discovery well was drilled and then later with the Arctic sealifts-there sure have been some changes.
That was more than I thought for fuel, but you paid for diesel. How much time do you think you need for a trip to Alaska? Id be interested in your points of interest of places to stop or see.
I drove accross that railroad bridge before it was rehabbed. No guard rail and 2x12 planks only where your tires go. Park service hadn’t taken it over and you could climb anywhere into the buildings. Climbed on top of the asbestos covered boilers and looked through paperwork in the offices from 1930s. Amazing.
Oh no!! I’m at the end of the playlist, lol. I have really enjoyed watching the camper transformation and you guys put in a lot of hard work! It really is beautiful 🤩 Now I will dig into your travel videos 😊
Have you ever done an episode on your truck? I would love to see a breakdown of the specs of your truck and all the modifications you have done. It’s beautiful 😍
