I have a few mid wing foamies. Looking forward to building this next week. Still in time for some indoor flying. But as you've shown here, outside should present no problems. Great flying! Nice demo!
Thanks! I’m actually not sure where the balance point is on the airplane, but its set slightly ahead of neutral. Inverted needs just a hint of down elevator
@@cwojcik_rc interesting, flew my own for the first time just yesterday… have it just about 20mm from spar and getting a lot of wing rock (didn’t use the SFG’s) and difficult to lock into knife edge spins.. I’ll have to play about with it
I actually had an ES50G on this motor for a while. I swapped to the ES60G and it seems to make a bit more power and the mid range is better. Thanks for the kind words!
This is a typical great video of Cody’s RC masterful skills. However, the Prime drop and catch video was very entertaining too! Nice sprint and reception Cody! 😂
@@cwojcik_rc Sub'd & big T- up !!!!! DOES THE pipe increase power or just reduce sound? I am trying to decide on this or a 91" Laser... which plane is better/ more capable.... or are they similar enough that it comes to pilot preference? BTW, I think the 69" turbo Raven is awesome. Job well done! Is it as capable as the two mentioned above? Thank you for your thoughtful response!
@@davidfalgout7304 Thanks! The ES pipe adds significant power, I am getting about 7300 RPM on a 23x8. The Slick and Laser have similar feels in yaw and roll, but the Laser is a little more tame and gentle in pitch. Honestly they are both capable of the same stuff, it really is preference for how aggressive you want to fly and the looks. The TR is a little more precise, harriers a little differently, but is extremely gentle. They will all do anything you can think of.
Wow, ten years ago and still as good or better than 99% of the 3D flying out there today. If this video didn't have a date I would have assumed it was just released. I hadn't seen this one before but I'm sure I'll watch it many more times. I still come back to your "One flight with the Extreme Flight 83" MXS" video now and then and that's one of my all-time favs.
I've watched your video a while ago and thought what great precision flying, I've come back and watched again and realized what a great light setup on a large wingspan...it must have a low wing loading running the light motor, lipo, ESC. I was surprised at how powerful the motor is on the 17in prop...I fly a pilot 67in with the larger GA2000R motor and after watching your flight and seeing the setup. The 67in pilot will be quite heavy I suspect. Love to know AUW? You can tell you have been flying for years.
Thanks for the kind words! AUW on this aircraft is about 7.6 lbs. It is designed to be a lot lighter for its size than a normal airplane, so I'd expect the Pilot would be quite a bit more.
I think the fuselages are quite different. I’m sure it’s possible with some work, and I’d recommend trying to get a gas motorbox kit if you can as a starting point.
Hello! This flight is so unusual that it takes your breath away. Installing a nitromotor model on the EPP is cool. How did you manage to tune the motor so that it runs so smoothly?
Thank you! Lots of experience in my earlier days with glow RC. But even still, the engine is quite temperamental in 3D and this is one of the few flights where it ran well the whole time.
