To me john force is my hero. He never forgot where he came from, he is not a quiter, he gave his wally to the mayor and sheriff of the town for getting a race track built and gave the truck driver the chance to race. And when he wrecked bad, they asked how he felt and he said" I saw elvis" how can you not love this man that jumpd fences for his fans and stays positive no matter what. GOD bless ya John force
Only have maybe two completed spares for the whole weekend. And in that light they can rebuild the used engines another time during the weekend. It doesn’t have to be a frantic rebuild every time after the race…just replace and test.
Thank you brother! This worked like a charm! I used LIQUI MOLY Pro-Line Engine Flush if anyone is looking for an alternative. Car runs so smooth now! Might have to do this every oil change now.
Amazing how efficient and fast the crew is on John Forces car between Dragstrip runs. You really have to know what you are doing to do this kind of work after every Dragstrip run. Allot of stuff goes on between the actual 3-4 second drag race itself. At this level of drag racing. I wonder how much money it takes to do rebuilds every entire dragstrip event. I guess if you have to ask how much it costs to do Funny Cars, you can't afford it. Thanks for the video.
The American way on display. Constantly improve the process! This kind of drive on the job is offensive to the woke idiots because it clearly shows them how inferior they are.
watching this remeinded me of my hot rod days, there was one week when i would come home from work and change my head gaskets and drive the car to work the next day and i did this three times in one week until i found out what the real problem was but when you do enough of this stuff it just comes naturally for guys like this
So much of my life's best memories has been attending drag racing events across Europe and the US. Like this, I'd just stand there in awe and watch these guys tear the motor down and rebuild it., then run from crew to crew as they leak test and set the motor for the next run. They say smell can trigger memories, for me, the sound of the ratchet gun, a blower spinning up before engine fire up, and the change in sound the engine makes when it switches over to nitro......always bring an automatic smile and takes me back :-) Thanks for posting!
I once got to meet Mr John and was glad I meet him in the way I did it was west of Salt Lake at a cool down area, after a time I bid him farewell as I didn't get paid unless my tires were turning Great Guy and has always been my favorite NHRA racer ....I think this was the race he was heading for at the time if memory serves me right. Mr John God Bless you and your girls. Thanks for the once and a life time opportunity to meet you and shoot the bull for bit that memory is greater than anything. Be Safe all y'all. PS I know this video is a bit old but figured I would share my one time experience with Mr John Force :)
I have to chuckle a bit at the end when they have the engine all put back together and i see that "chevrolet" shield thing on top of the massive Chrysler Hemi valve covers. That certainly is a joke and actually kind of pathetic but it is what it is. Anybody that knows drag racing knows the truth....
