@JynxRyl One very interesting theory about fight club is that the narrator have testicular cancer! He has two choices to handle it. To remove his testicles and get better, or ignore it and probably die! Everything in the movie only happened in his head! He created two personalities! Tyler who stands for the ignoring side, and Marla who accepts the removal of the testicles! This is a video about this! m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wHE7oBvOk9U.html
I just realized something that I never thought of before... When Mel Books talks about circumcision, Dave Chapelle says "I forgot man, I already got one" -- the joke presumably being he's trying to get out of it. But actually Dave Chapelle converted to islam ( I'm not sure if he had at the time of this movie) and his character in this movie is from an islamic country ... and islam widely practices their own brand of circumcision. So his character might actually be telling the truth.
If you're male you'll never be female, if you're female you'll never be male, if you're white you'll never be black, if you're black you'll never be white, if you're a Palpatine you'll never be a Skywalker.
I grew up with the original characters and wouldn't have been disappointed if Chewie was ended in this. It would have been a good character development for Rey. With that guilt it could have lead her down the dark side which would have been an interesting thing to see. But these sequels don't have character development. That brief appearance of Dark Rey was awesome. I don't mind the sequels, but the people who did them knew nothing of the lore. Way too many times Rey fights with too much anger, and fighting with anger is a dark side trait. She's been doing this since the Force Awakens. Jedi fight without emotion, its a means to an end with them.
Jyn & Ryl, I applaud you for watching all the Star Wars movies. They all had good stuff in them, and they were all entertaining. I watched all of them starting in 1977, and I liked some more than others, but I don't regret watching any of them. It's Star Wars! It's just entertainment!
Emperor Palpatine coming back really killed the whole thing for me. I can't stand it. Like, I can watch this movie, but I'm rolling my eyes the entire time.
The Sith are hopelessly addicted to power and conquest. As the great Frank Herbert once said, "Power attracts the corruptible." They believe that anger and hatred make them invincible. They thrive on their selfish emotions and cruelty towards others. We saw what happened to Anakin Skywalker. He let his fear, anger, jealousy and hate take over, and he even saw his wife as his enemy. He made himself a slave once again, only it was to his own dark side. We see it happen in real life, as tyrants and dictators slaughter millions and set their sights on world domination. The philosophies of the Jedi and Sith are great examples of what we experience in real life.
An awful movie to cap an awful trilogy. These movies were so bad, and the second and third one performed well under expectations, enough so that there hasn't been a Star Wars movie in 5 years... These movies, along with "Solo" made the studio take a pause on making SW films, that's how poorly they were received. When they started the sequels they had no plan for how the story would go. Especially Rise Of Skywalker (what an insulting title) they had no idea what they were doing. In fact, the Emperor was added to the story after the script had already been written. Rey's lineage was made up at the last moment, this giant franchise and they had no clue what they were doing with the main character.... They also had no clue what to do with Kylo, or Finn for that matter. Rey is an awful protagonist. Rey worked for nothing, was given everything; she had no growth, no struggles; within 20 minutes of the first film she's flying the Millennium Falcon, then she escapes the custody of the The First Order without help using a Jedi mind trick??? And then at the end of the film, with zero training, she beats a skilled life long force user.... what utter garbage. She was so bland and forgettable, handed everything from the start. Kylo was also just an awful character. What a mess. The worst thing they did though was to Luke's character, the absolute butchering of an icon. The sequels are unforgivable.
Ugh. Love y'all, but these Disney Star Wars movies (aside from ROGUE ONE) are the worst. Bad bootleg--like getting a Nike shoe box from the local booster only to find there's nothing in it but a brick.
JYN x RYL : I love your channel. and a movie I have been wanting for a long time to request for you to react to is Sunshine Cleaning . even if you do not post a reaction video of it, I can bet a lot of money that you- especially- JYN- would love it personally. also, Monster's Ball, Manchester by the Sea, Out of the Furnace, and Loving
Ok, I'm tired of Wondering, are you Two Sisters, are you two Lesbian Lovers? Your both Beautiful, but I'm just Curious. You can't put out these videos and Expect for people not to be Curious. We can build a beautiful house with an amazing garden that took years of planning, development, and love, and when we die our family sells the property which is then bulldozed with everything removed and trashed. I've seen it so many times. Life passes so quickly, and we don't know when and how we will die.
It’s hard to explain or understand how perfect this movie was for 1975.. The oil shortages, watergate, the economy.. A lot of people needed this message, and they got it with a truly perfect movie.. Everything is perfect, even Paulie…
Nothing can make you dark but darkness that already leaves within you. Just like you can be in the same house and abused the same way and think differently
Tina worked with Angela throughout the movie. Tina’s light was never dimmed by her circumstances. Still helped her mom. Who never loved her no matter what Tina did or gave to her. And I know what that’s like. I grew up on this movie as a child and with a mother like this. You can never win. And the desperation and hopelessness you feel everyday knowing you’ve felled even before you’ve fully woken up. And still smile. And try anyway.
