I cackled at the way Ishige promptly lost it once Enoki mentioned that Suzumura Kenichi suffered from stiff shoulders. Context: Ishige is affiliated with the voiceover talent agency intention, which Suzumura founded and in still in charge of.
Shimono Hiro, Sakurai Takahiro, Suzuki Tatsuhisa, and Okamoto Nobuhiko are the ones on my list that you are missing but good on you for Eguchi and Tsudaken. I also believe that talent should win over looks. I hate that Sakurai's old agency told him he was ugly unless he wore glasses. That can't have been good for his self-esteem.😞
this is my list based on my taste, so.... I think talent is important but looks also would boost seiyuu's popularity, giving them chance to be on magazines etc. sakurai is average imo but yeah, again just my taste (he's an awful person tho so I could nvr see him in a positive light anymore)
@@konpeisubs Yes I heard everything that happened and it is sad. I guess in America I am used to people being separated from private life to what they do for a living with their talent.🤔 I mean real talent to not cause they are rich. 😮💨 To be a bit fair though here our rules aren't as strict when you get famous with real talent. We just expect you to have common sense...that doesn't always work either though. 😅
So basically it isn't that Gojo's VA hates him: It is because he acts him, saying something good about him would constitute as bragging, which is a big rude no-no in Japanese culture?
You cant be bother Nakamura san, Mappa animators _intentionally_ made Gojo attractive 😂 they know what fan service is. So dont be upset at people simping over Gojos face, its all the animators fault! Lol ❤
@@konpeisubs wasnt their another podcast for S2 tho with him talking about Gojo after the teen hidden inventory arc. I think he kind if likes him now, not that much tho but got the in depth idea of who Gojo is not just a cool guy
Yeah, praising the character for his cool looks when his job is to be their voice and emotion is like the opposite of what a voice actor probably wants to hear.
Eh idk when I watched his other interviews from other characters he always seems so... standoffish? Like he is voice acting the characters because hes talented and has a suitable voice but he looks like he doesnt really care for the characters or what people thing of said characters. One of them was Irregular at Magic highschool I watched. I could be wrong ofc its just my interpretation and from what he has said. He is the complete opposite of Suwabe Junichi for example, that man is passionate for his characters
@@semekiizuio that’s what I felt too, it’s interesting 🤔 he has a very professional attitude (I think) and doesn’t let emotions get in the way. Idk I’m not too good at putting it into words but it’s what I got from listening to a few of his podcasts
@@semekiizuioI think he might’ve older Japanese mindset, where bragging is considered extremely rude and off-putting. And as he acts as the character during voicing, him saying anything positive about his character would be like he was saying something positive about himself. And in Japan, that is a big no-no, especially for older generations. I kinda get it, coming from similar culture: Saying anything positive about yourself, especially if haven't first said how crappy you are in something else, is considered very off-putting. If VA acts strongly, trying to get into character, then saying positive things about the character is like speaking positively about yourself.
I might be wrong but I think when they get to voice the current bits in the manga they'll probably change their minds about him, cause he does have his caring side for his students and all 😭😂
@@RazaswasTaken yeah! i especially agree to nakamura-san's statement about how gojo has matured very much in season 1 compared to season 2, which shows how much character development he has. what makes it even better, those developments r quite subtle, but still apparent. the way nakamura-san voiced him in both teen and adult gojo also make his character feel even more alive. I really wanna know how he thinks about gojo now tho, with all the recent developments in the manga
@@Blair_78322 iirc there was a podcast of him for S2 saying he was ok with Gojo now. I mean a little bit better then before 😂 lol it was meant to be followed when S2 was airing, its on Sptify but its in japanese so translating or finding it translated may not be easy.
The biggest surprise was finding out Koyasu still has to do audition sometimes. He feels like the kind of guy people reach out to because they already know he's gonna be PERFECT for the role. Few people do sassy bad guys or menacing villains as well as this man!
thank you so much for translating koyasu takehito-san content! I really like him as a VA. he has quite a lot of range, and i like his performance so much
I worked on subbing this radio as paid commission and it is available fully subbed! if you're interested to watch it, please contact me and I'll send you an invoice 😊❤
