Hi! We are Daren and Johnetta Valentine. Our goals are very simple; travel to the best places, stay in luxurious accommodations, eat great food, and have fun. Join us and enjoy the views.
We will respond to all of your comments and questions as best that we can. Any rude comments and/or questions will be deleted, and the user will no longer allowed to post. And yes, I have received a few! Go figure!!!
leisure travel van owners, on youtube sharing the experiences? what? rarely on youtube are there LTV owners, I only found one *fern life* and so, as someone currently saving up for an LTV.. I have to subscribe!
Sandy Again LOL Which restaurants on Ritz ship is included and which one are additional charge? Is alcohol and soda included. We are not a big alcohol drinker but would not mind trying a few cocktails. Based on your experience , which restaurants for lunch & dinner are must go to? I love fresh seafood & chicken. He likes good filet mignon and seafood (not raw). Thank you
The only one with an upcharge was SEA. Not sure if they still upcharge, but it was $295pp, and not really worth it. Most alcohol and soft drinks are included. You can purchase more expensive brands of wine than their normal pour, but of course that is optional!!
Our favorite was the sushi restaurant, but since you don’t like raw, they do have cooked options. For steak at dinner, go up to Mistral. For everything else, the Pool Deck and the main restaurant (can’t remember the name) are very good to excellent.
Wow I am loving all the videos & detailed reviews. I am a foodie. Have you been on other luxury cruise? If so, which ship cruise lines are not favorite & why? My husband & I (Mike & Sandy) have not been on a cruise. I just don’t care for many people, lining up for food to eat, saving chairs at the C pool etc. We usually visit Ritz, Four Seasons, St Regis - land vacation only. We wanted to try something different. Are there show on a Ritz ship? Which cruise line would you recommend for first time cruise travelers? As long as less than 1000 people on a ship. Did you use travel agent to book or? Thank you so much for sharing. I appreciate your time. 💗
Really appreciate the Starlink cable routing idea. We're taking delivery next spring/summer and love this strategy. Might ping you with question when we get there :) Safe travels!
Here is a video of the AC sound. The first few seconds are when the compressor is running full blast, and the rest is normal mode ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o00X_ZgahlA.html
Yes, I should have shown it😡. It is not built in, but more of a fabric curtain or divider that snaps in. But we didn’t like it and bought some magnetic covers for the windows and a single piece cover for the windshield. They are easier to put up and they make the van appear larger.
Love LTV's. Rear lounge is what we have. You can get a dip stick for the 6 cylinder engine. Goes on the left front corner of the engine and is easy to install. Do don't know if you have the new 4 cylinder engine. Don't know if you can get and install a dipstick in them.
Totally agree so far! We only had one thing not work correctly on our shakedown trip. One drawer does not stay closed while driving. We will get it fixed, but for now, we just Velcro the handle to the handle of the drawer above!
Splendid video! loved your visits to the museums! You know a BBQ sandwich is good when it falls apart even before you take your first bite! I've been to many of the African American historical sites in the South, but none in Alabama. I'll have to remedy that. Thanks again for your videos! Now back to cruising!
Greetings from a Tiny Island in Maine, USA Not sure if you have already done it but would like to hear your thoughts on your Starlink experience after using it for a while on your journeys. I wanted to get it for our island but do not have good exposure w/ all the trees. Safe travels.
Sure! I will make sure to talk about that in the tour video next Saturday. But, our experience was mostly positive, with a couple of exceptions due to tree cover.
A milkshake is a dessert. I think you shouldn't order desserts until you've finished your main courses. Eat your main courses first, then order dessert.
You will enjoy it. We were there 6 months after it was first launched, and yes, they did need to work on a few things. But we thoroughly enjoyed the ship, especially the food!
Bravos! Thoroughly enjoy you VLOGS. If you enjoyed the Locks of UP, I recommend a Panama Canal on small ship sortie (e.g.; Regency, Seabourn or Ritz). Also, the Straights of Magellan at the southern tip of S. America, an inland passage connecting Argentina and Chile with breath-taking scenery to photograph.
Awesome video! Got a taste for where Maria and I spent some of our formative years. Did you ever get corrected on the pasty pronunciation? Say yah to da UP, eh!
I think I said it both ways in the video! Good to hear from you. Did Diana tell you about the shoutout to you and Maria? Man, you guys were WAY THE FUCK UP THERE!!
@@DJTravels actually Tim told me about it. It was a great school but I could not wait to get the hell out of Houghton. I snowed in May after graduation. I couldn’t drive fast enough! Glad to see you guys are having fun. Hit us up the next time you’re in the area.
Thanks for sharing! My sister graduated from Michigan Tech in 2000. I haven't been back to the UP since then, but feel inspired to revisit after watching your videos. Safe travels!
Thanks for watching! We were only up there about a week and a half. Take more time if you can, and see all the waterfalls and lighthouses you can fit in!
@@DJTravels My mom been on Seven Seas Explorer twice for Alaska cruise. Id like to try them but don't know if I can (Convicted Felon) Ritz Carlton on the other hand i nearly fell out my chair when i saw the price.
Our first Regent cruise was on the Seven Seas Mariner to Alaska back in 2008. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Next year, we plan to drive the new RV up to Alaska.
Enjoyed this video. Looking forward to the next one from Copper Harbor. Haven’t been there since I was a kid. My husband and I would like visit there soon!
Thank you! Just a hint of next weeks video.....we just happen to be in Copper Harbor while there is a re-enactment at Fort Wilkins. So we spend most of our time there.
Saint Ignace is pronounced Ig' nus. Jose's in the Sault is better than the one in Saint Ignace. If you can avoid driving on U.S. 2 do so. It's has some terrible drivers.
Those canceled orders happen because the buyer had to wait for three to four years. By time the rig arrived... the price adjusted, 30 t0 40 thousand dollars higher. Just sayin.
