In this first episode, we struggle with the current state of air travel!
We were orginally booked on AIrFrance La Premiere for the flights to Europe, but an equipment change bumped us down to business class. Added to that, our flight out of Tampa was delayed enough that we missed our flight to Paris, and further missing our flight to Vienna.
We made it to Vienna 11 hours late, tired, and bedraggled, but we made it!

Thanks for watching! Hopefully the series will be in France before you visit. We didnt get tp France until day 14 or 15 of our trip.

Welcome, we are open to everybody! Just like to point out the fact that we are black, so that other people of color know that they are welcome to travel in luxury. Many people of color would be intimidated!

Sorry to hear about your travel troubles. As your flight was going to Europe and your delay was 6+hours delay you are due compensation from airline, plus your credit card will probably provide you with some delay benefit too 👍🏻

Yes, we checked that out. Since our late segment was Tampa to JFK, it did not qualify for the refund.

Wow... what a disruptive travel experience! Sorry to hear about it. Hope the rest of your trip is more pleasant. Double check to see if your 11 hour flight disruption is covered by EU261 claim.

Aaaahhh! The thing is, we only pack carry on luggage. One 22" roller bag and one underseat bag for each of us. Our friends can't believe we can travel for 3 weeks with only carryons. Our clothes are mostly quick dry/no iron, so we was things out every few days and hang them up to dry on a land trip. On a Regent cruise, laundry is included, so we send items out for cleaning every four or so days. Years of business travel taught me a valuable lesson regarding lacking light!

I like the way you two “go with the flow” on flight issues. Life goes on you and you can almost forget it when you get to your destination. Johnetta, I see you are using the Lovevook backpack. Would love to hear your review. I just bought one, too. I bet I know where you heard about it!
