Im very fussy about buying patches as I normally make my own on all the synths i own.....however this soundset is something else . I will defo be buying . Is it in sysex format ?
Just bought a modwave because of this amazing soundset. You should be getting perks from synth companies for selling their gear. :) Does this work on mk2 module?

Lol! It's still a fantastic synth with much to offer. I wonder if the dsp56300 people could ever work their magic with it... Gotta be easier than the Supernova. I think it has a DSP56724/5 lurking somewhere inside, however that's a 567xx so maybe not!
Man i love your soundset for the Argon8 so much. My favorite! Tried to recreate the Stellarium patch on the Hydra but i dont get it. I love my Argon for the sound (not a fan of sice / Ui). I love the Hydra for the UI / Look / feel but i never get this "uuuuhm" feeling like when i hear and play the Argon8. Would love to see a soundback from you for the Hydra. Maybe you can make it shine.
Thank you for your words! Tbh I've spent ridiculous amounts of time trying to replicate sounds from one synth to another. Of course it can be done (to greater or lesser degrees), and I often do include some classic/cliché sounds as and when. I guess I prefer to explore each instrument's features & strengths. Hydra - maybe..
Not really, I mean yes the sample library certainly shares some content. The wavetable engine in modwave isn't in wavestate. OTOH, the wave sequencing isn't available for modwave.. If you chose similar sample content then yes both have the same FX algos so something close is possible. In effect they're different Instruments that share a common DNA. Hope that clears it up!
I was given a 990 some years ago by a local musician who couldn’t play anymore. Now that I have a controller that will work with it, it’s time to dive in!
Just purchased these today and wow they are fantastic and well worth the price!!! So many wonderful sounds here! One note: I am using a macbook and Sysex librarian, but if you are using a USB hub (because newer macs don’t have USB-A ports), the files would not transfer - as soon as I used an older mac and no usb hub, the sysex file played and completed just fine! Hope this helps others that may have trouble transferring!!!
Thank you very much! I’m really glad that you like them. And thanks for the heads up wrt the USB hub. Yes sometimes they can cause trouble. I use a Caldigit one and touch wood haven’t had an issue but I know it happens. All the best 👍

Hi, thank you for your kind words. It's a bit of a marmite bank, but thought it best to release. I'll have to think about it, there are some technical hurdles related to web dev for me to fix. I'm not the best web developer!!

This is amazing. I worked in a music instr store when this thing came out and remember not understanding why so many people didn’t like it. Your incredible sound set makes me feel vindicated somehow (though I know you put a lot of work into it).
Thanks Josh! Yes I remember it wasn't well received. Imho the raw sound is there but it's quite awkward at times. But I kinda love it so I put the time in;)

I bought one off ebay in mint condition. I think the guy made a little profit but not loads. VAT and import duties , handling charge and postage to consider after the initial price of the synth. Ive used it already but im not familiar with it. This demo make me feel please that pulled the trigger. I was on the e~mail waiting list but I never heard from the company fot the best part of a year now. So nice !
Yes they're quite hard to get aren't they. I managed to get one quite early on as I had my eye on the Micromonsta 1 before but missed it. Really glad you like it, great synth!
Well I was already thinking I'd like to get a Peak and this had really helped seal my decision, absolutely gorgeous sounds. But then I found your website and started checking out other sets, like the Argon8 and Cobalt8. Now I really don't know what to do, lol.
@@Soundsauca Thanks, that makes sense. It does sound like the Peak would be the best choice for me. Of course, I could get an Argon AND a Cobalt for rather less than a Peak! I think when it comes down to it though the Peak will win out if only for the fact it seems like it has more of a traditional, hands-on operation, whereas the Modals, while I'm sure they have a well thought-out control system, seem like they might be a bit more display-led, and the whole point of me buying hardware is to add as many modeless knobs and buttons into my tweaking life as possible! That does lead to me to something I was already thinking of asking: do you have a favourite synth to program (not necessarily for the resulting sounds)?
Ah thanks a lot! It sounds like Peak is a good fit for you. I mean it's my go to "analog" sounding machine really. I've got a few others but it's by far my most versatile. Yes Prophecy is not a great synth to start out on. I've never owned one, although I have the Korg Collection and have fiddled a bit with it.
this is why i can't wait to replace the Hydrasynth with an MM2. just the basic raw sound character is way more in your face whereas the Hydra (imo) just sounds vast and hollow no matter what i program with it (the HS presets say it all)
@@Soundsauca I know it has a lot of fans and I did start to like it more once I started programming my own patches. It’s great for sound design stuff. I would probably be more forgiving if it was multi-timbrel
