I wonder why we are getting more OP changes on frames and new more and mroe OP frame when old already too OP for current endgame content. Do DE planning to come up with some hard content what require this OP tank / overgaurd / dmg frames?
i do not know how to use Ember. anytime i use her i feel like i have to rely 95% on my weapons, and 5% on her abilities cause i don't know how to use her. i really need to learn lol
Personally this does nothing for me. It actually makes me even more concerned for the future of Warframe as a whole. My biggest concern is that they are giving too many frames abilities that give overguard. Things are moving away from diversity and seem to be moving towards "just play what looks cool, they all do the same thing essentially". This just furthers the issue of maintaining player interest. It's getting predictable. Here's a prediction that I feel 100% confident in: Equinox's night form healing and is going to be changed so that "overhealing" gives overguard. I could even see a Citrine augment that gives overguard as you pick up health orbs. Do you see what I mean? Just giving every frame that heals the ability to also give overguard is not good game design. There should be frames that heal/replenish shields and there should be frames that give only overguard. This encourages synergistic team setups. Idk man, I'm not liking this direction we are headed in. Everything is starting to feel to "same-y". Hopefully the new damage type refresh justifies needing so many frames giving overguard, otherwise I think I'm on my way out...again.
I think a lot of older warframes need a deeper look at especially when it comes to energy efficiency, overall effectiveness, damage and the like as some just suck in comparison to the newer ones right now
I hope this means that her blast will now be able to strip demos. No idea why it wouldn't as it can strip sister liches at very least, and isn't really the same as something like terrify.
I am excited when I first started playing it was the Fire and Ice Prime so she's was basically one of my very first warframes. Do I think she'll be deep arcamedia good? Probably not compared to other but potentially viable now
Pablo have a good tendency and sense of what to fix and how. I think that these changes would be helpful for Ember but I still do not like her newish ultimate ability I simply think it fits to another frame. Not saying the old Wof was any better because the major issue for Ember was the non scaling abilities. The heat got it's buff and that overall helped her but she had no so much ability to survive on higher levels nor deal enough damage. These changes at first looks great and would turn Ember into something what she really needed for years. Frost also will be buffed in the similar way since cold also gets stronger and the enemy armor overall will be overlooked so most frames currently struggling with kills now they could kill. The only thing is now how Jade will do the balance pass and hopefully she will not be overpowered nor underpowered. Then they could go and check Chroma, maybe Limbo and a bit tweak my Oberon.
She's also going to be a Twitch drop during the Summer Game Fest tonight, so I guess it's all a part of their new strategy for heirloom skins. Which, I think, is a great idea. Give a warframe a nice little tweak before releasing the skin in order to make it more attractive.
Ok, so I might be misunderstanding something, but I feel like the buff to Healing Flame specifically is bigger than people realize. Because if if still works when you subsume Fire Blast onto other frames, that means that ALL FRAMES CAN HAVE OVERGUARD NOW. At least, that's what it seems like.*
ember popped my first prime cherry and i've never let her go ever since her rework that being said she had problems concerning her dated mechanics and how useless 1 was. she was energy hungry for armor stripping because of her extremely high costs to sustaining her damage reduction, meaning Nourish was a very appealing bandaid fix that helped with sustaining her on-demand armor stripping and 2nd ability buffs. I always ran healing flames because she had no other way to stay on the field for prolonged periods of time. pablo easily made her 1st ability much more appealing since the radius is a bit larger and heat proc is guaranteed to make her passive easier to sustain without needing charge. massive reduction in energy drain down to 4 makes it much more lenient for me to forget about it and worry about later steel path for a bit before i can deal de-activate+re-activate or double tap 3 before building heat up again. not only that, the better hit detection was MUCH needed due to requiring direct unobstructed line of site from ember to make the ability actually hit everyone; and on top of that they decided to give my mandatory augment overguard on overheal. i kneel, pablo, my wallet and my knees are yours
I still don't understand why energy drain is associated with her damage reduction, no other frame that has dr is punished with energy drain. The damage her abilities do is pitiful, that needs buff too, these changes are needed if DE wants people to buy that heirloom
Nourish instead of her 1 with arcane energize or equilibrium would be staple build Overgaurd tank low levels and i frame high levels with shield gating is nice but kind of negates the point of 90% DR
Her defensive ability.... immolate I think.....it's useless for the most part. The heat ramps up too fast and even with slipstream it gulps your energy way too fast.... it's easier to squeeze in Adaptation or use a blue shard to boost her armor....than to constantly track your heat to know when to turn it off and on. Why isn't this her helmenth....so you could experience the benefit without the shitty downside cost? That's be a great buff and some frames could use that DR....I'd try it on this one flimsy Nova build I have ASAP.
Her immolates energy ramp up has been slowed by 60% Pablo confirmed on twitter. Would be a lot better if they capped it instead of the uncapped drain it has now.
Pablo has the exact opposite feelings to the playerbase and warframe kits than Scott and its very refreshing to vets who've stuck to see both sides enough at this point. Pablo has a tendency of going overzealous with his designs and making solo carry frames regardless of role archetype(like release Harrow as support or Saryn's current entire existence) but he's gotten better at reeling it in over time while Scott just seemed to get pettier and pettier instead(like the mess that was and still is rework Oberon, Ember's current state, and especially the first Hydroid "rework"). Really excited to see this train keep moving forward like this.
Now that she got overguard u wont even need to use her fire shield so can helminth something else in. Good riddance! Her 3 hit detection was absolute garbage. She still cant strip shield so she is still dependent on magnetic cedos to help her
