Some effort Derek fair play! I got the stinging eyes the last day I was out for a big one in the pissing rain. All the sweat washing out of the helmet. Too wet for glasses. Eyes burning from sweat & stinging from the driving rain. It adds another dimension to descending in the wet! The cycling cap does the job of keeping the rain & sweat off though. Looking forward to the next vid
Fair played for the effort in that weather your fond - I’d be checking met office a day or 2 before 😝 you not have the 3 second rule??? If it’s on the floor under 3 seconds it’s still edible no questions ;)

I actually thought that myself, they must have felt great inside a warm car watching me in a heap 🤣 unless it’s an injury or mechanical I can’t fix I’ll pack it in, suffering I can deal with 🤣
I’ve done it a few times but never felt it was as bad as yesterday. I think the wind killed me. Every time I wanted to pick up pace I found myself climbing, it was heartbreaking at times. Even the crosswinds were dodge
Get a rain cover for your Garmin that was the cause of not getting all your distance recorded you are mad out cycling in that weather you lost your barbecue rib 😢 mud guard on next time 😅 keep cycling 😊
I’ll say firstly I’m a brand ambassador with specialized Ireland so take from that what you will but I wouldn’t bullshit anyone. The service from Specialized is beyond first class. You nearly get a new bike back. Anything that needs replacing is replaced. You pay good money for your bike, it’s worth looking after it. A mate of mine got his done there as well and I couldn’t believe everything they done. Down to the small details.

That’s some effort Derek, especially a solo cycle. Those headwinds are a killer mixed with rain 🌧️. I know those few climbs between Tramore and Dunmore East 😨 and that rain near the end. Well done 👏👏👏👊
Where did those climbs come from. I was just saying that was the hardest part from tramore to dunmore east. I had in my head I was gonna motor on that part and get back on track. I was expecting to be climbing 😩 that killed me

Could add put mud gaurd on in the rain to the beginner cycle video 😂 I would of went with the 10sec rule with that rib steak 😂😢, fair glad I was working that day 🤪 , savage going keep up the great work 💪💪
