My mission is to bring you quality organ music videos through the wonders of RU-vid. I try to bring you music from all kinds of time periods but of course there will be an overweight of Bach, because he's the best.
I'm Philip, 39 years and an organist from Copenhagen, Denmark. So welcome to a classical music channel dedicated to bringing you quality recordings of organ works I find interesting. Mostly my recordings are played through my Hauptwerk home organ which basically is a glorified MIDI keyboard with pedals bundled with software which makes you play on already recorded sound from pipe organs all around the world.
I hope you'll enjoy channel around the joy of playing and hearing organ music. It's free - however, if you feel like supporting financially you can do it via this link: Paypal: www.paypal.com/paypalme/philipaggesen

@@antoniofranciscogarcia1707 Both Purcell's Ground and Bach's Goldberg variations seem to be based on the same then-popular ostinato bass melody, "il Ruggiero".
The first section of this sonata is one of my most-loved pieces. You have played it so beautifully - I particularly love the slightly slower tempo in this rendition that allows the three voices to come alive in the acoustic 😀😀
What a gem Philip - most intelligently played- it probably was intended for the harpsichord but you bring out all the turns beautifully - bravo young friend.
Magnifique pièce de JS Bach !! Une merveille d'interprétation. Superbe. 👏👏👏👏 Quel talent ! Immense BRAVO et MERCI pour nous partager un aussi beau moment musical, exceptionnel 🙏🙏🙏🎶🌟🎶🌟🎶🌟🎶🌟🎶♥️♥️♥️
@philipaggesen He has an arrangement on sheet that I love to play. I modify the baseline to somewhat match the way you play it here. Thanks for sharing. It's on my top TEN list of favorite songs, and my taste of music is very diverse from Bach to Funkadelic to Percy Faith to Earth Wind and Fire to Cocteau Twins. I'm just weird.
Thanks for playing this lovely piece! Francesca Ajossa played it today in the Rotterdam Laurens church. Good introduction to a composer/educator until today unknown to me.
Hi Philip, I really enjoyed vespers last night, sorry I couldn’t join in the live chat…but the music was wonderful. The two pieces by Handel were really impressive and the organ was really resonant and warm. Thank you so much for this wonderful “musical escape” each month, it’s lovely to discover these wonderful pieces and have them performed with such sensitivity. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful music with us all.
Clicking away this music and performance would be a sin to musical humanity. How I enjoyed your confident fingers elegantly dancing and pushing the keys. Thank you so much!
This is another lovely installment of hymns and organ repertoire. I wish I could watch these Vespers live. But being in Japan makes impractical. Nonetheless, I like watching them as soon as possible!
The Beach Boys began and ended their 1979 single "Lady Lynda" with an excerpt from 'Jesu'... I was about 12 or 13 at the time and I would always have an ear out for when they played the song on the radio and turn it way up... I thought the song was crap but was absolutely transfixed by the classical parts that bookended the song... thus began my lifelong love for JS 🙂
