As a breast surgeon and medical director of the Novant Health UVA Breast Center, I know that patients get better care when they're involved in their own treatment decisions. I don't know how serious my breast cancer because my oncologist is terrible ,ductal carcomia her2 negative stage 3,wth lymph nodes positive, also separate stage 1
I’ve been wondering if it might be more effective to have a bilateral mastectomy, rather than going through this yearly palaver. I mean I was told out would take two hours for an ultrasound, breast removal would only take two or so hours and I would never need any further expensive and humiliating examinations.
I was diagnosed with ER/PR negative and Her2 positive May 10th 2024. My port and chemo are delayed due to spots they found on my other breast. Three of the four came back benign. I get the last one MRI guided biopsy tomorrow June 5th. I get my port this Friday and start Perjeta June 12th! Cancer sucks and I’m only 36. My mom passed away in 2023 from breast cancer but different kind. Fight like everyone out there with cancer you are not alone!!
I was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer last week. I am currently waiting on breast MRI and PET scan for staging. Keep the faith and fight big! You’ve got this!
I am 50 and was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma HER2+ ER+ PR+ 2 days before Christmas 2024. I just had my Lumpectomy last month after 10 sessions of Chemo (Paclitaxel). After the lumpectomy was done the medical staff already told my mom that I would need more chemo. Is this because they could not get it all? The surgeon also removed 3 lymph nodes and some necrotic fat tissue. I see my surgeon this Wednesday (today is Monday).

I am just seeing this. I was diagnosed with IDC stage 1. I had a lumpectomy, I am estrogen and progesteron receptors positive and HER2 ngagive. When they run the test in my tummor they said I only benefit from chemotherapy >1% then my oncologist said that other studies shows that I might benefit 6 to 9% from chemotherapy. My BRCA is negative, lymph nodes were negative and margines were negative. Now the recurrance was 25% and because of that some doctors say " yes" to chemo and others say " no to chemo" . I star radiation next week and honestly my entired body said no to chemo, and honestly I am not sure if I am making the right decision. I am 46 and they will put me in hormone therapy after radiation. I am not sure if saying "no" to chemo was the right decision.
At the age of 58 I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma stage 2 Her 2+ , I underwent Modified Radical Mastectomy , Chemotherapy 6 cycles, Targeted therapy ( HERCEPTIN) while ongoing there was recurrence- lumpectomy done then finally Radiation done 37 cycles ........ thank God im doing great now Thanks also for my Doctors Also have my maintenance Femara 2.5mg Dok,how is my survival rate? Thanks.....
My mama have a breast cancer and her doctor advise her to undergo chemo but some of our relatives and the people we know some of then suggested to not undergo chemo because it can make my mama weak and may cause of death, that what they said so here i am searching for answer and i take note all of it so that i could ask the doctor fr advice . I love my mama so much and im so afraid about her situation im so afraid .
Thank you so much for this video presentation. I am one who is a breast cancer in 2021 and it was stage 2. After 6 cycles of chemo and went in for mastectomy. I am beginning to understand all this presentation you have put. My doctors were never vocal and advisable. I wish I can get the best treatment from your end for the sake of my children. Thank you for all these information 😊
My gosh, the way Dr. John William laid out the information was so easy to follow and very informative. Thank you so much for providing this for the public.
I appreciate all the informative videos, but I have a hard time concentrating on what the doctor is saying because of the background music. Maybe just have it in the intro?
To all women who have DCIS, beware of the biopsy! Had 2 aggressive biopsies for DCIS last June. Just DCIS. Told i had all the time in the world to pick a surgeon. Had full Mastectomy Feb 1st this year. Lymph node biopsy showed invasive, then found on my liver March 6th. I am 100% certain, the biopsies caused a change in the environment of the cancer, causing a invasive mutation in that very area. This is called Inflammatory oncotaxis. If you have a biopsy and it shows cancer, please have it removed within 54 days of your biopsy!
Very good video and very helpful. I wish they would lower the background music though. I found it made it harder to hear the Doctor. That said it is a very good video.

I once had cancer virus 🦠 for over 10 years and I visited so many States in the United States 🇺🇸 seeking for help but it was all leading to spending of thousands of dollars until I was watching a RU-vid series and I came across Dr. Emovon on RU-vid ads and I decided to order his herbal medication and today I'm fully well from this problems. #dremovon..🙏🙏
Everything seems to be moving so much faster than explained here for me, immediately after mammogram they put me in for ultrasound. I am now scheduled for the biopsy 3 days later and meeting with the doctor immediately after same day. So scary but reading the statistics helps out my mind at ease
Thank you I was diagnosed on 8/2/2024 had my op on 22nd and 3 lymph nodes removed should of got my results this week but due to the bank holiday they are delayed till next week, this video has un-nerved me thank you.
These videos were a huge benefit in preparing me for my cancer treatment. I watched them after surgery but before I met my oncologist. The videos became the basis of my research and armed me with the knowledge to ask heaps of targeted questions as well as gave me a strong understanding of the biopsy and surgery results. Timing was important for me. Once chemo started I didn't want to know about anything or do any further research. Thank you so much for the fantastic, calm content.
Thank you..I was just diagnosed and it pretty much has gone along the same timeline have described…just had my surgery and next is meeting with oncology and radiology.
