We should have watched this video before we started. We spend all day trying to fit the wish bone back in the stock location. We will try the trick you used to get it back in place.
I like the fact you showed us the good and the bad with the rebuild, that is reality! Curious about how everything turned out. I had similar a5 for years, it was a fun car. Cheers!
thanks for making this vid, really valuable info. I read somewhere when you replace the airbag that if you tighten the sensor too tight it makes the horn sensitive and its normally done by machines, so when a person fixes it, it can be funky
price of car+copart/broker fees+ transportation fee+parts fees+labour fees+title and registration fee+initial service fee+you might need to tow it fee= this is what everyone should expect to pay when buying salvage cars.
Just remember for Safety... ALLsuspension components are supposed to be tightened to manufacturers specification (Ft/lbs). Other than that, Great video.
I’m subscribing cause I like thisss. Dope, I’m surprised you don’t have wayyyy more subscribers and watchers tbh. Videos aren’t too long and filled with extras. Great videos.
Great video and summary of repairs and costs, thank you! Also great car for a great cost at the end (... certainly doing most of the work yourself saved a ton of money! ) The best quote I got from a body shop in US to just repaint the hood of my S5 was $500... double what you paid for your S5's replacement hood! :)
Hi great video, I watch alot of these salvage refunding videos and would love to do my one soon, but have little knowledge hands on cars. How would I go about this, I've been looking more for cat n car for slight easier repairs
Did you put a jack stand under that car? Those emergency mini jacks that come with the car have a reputation to collapse and kill people who are under the car!
I had 235/65/17 tyres on my jeep (same as urs) now ive put 265/65/17 on and its touching a bit on arches and fenderliner whats the best thing to do to get it higher
What size wheels and tires were able to go up to? I bought some 20” wheels w 31” tires on them and installed a 2.5” spacers for front and 2” spacers for rear and still rubbing, now cutting a bit of the wheel well and maybe putting on some 1.5” wheel spacers to see if that helps w front hard turn rubbing.
I got a Gsx650f (same as bandit but with different plastics) and thank you so much for this video bro so helpful. Will hopefully have new rear bearings in soon 👍🏼. Ride safe bro
