I guess you learn from your mistakes, and i found out the hard way trying to fix the frame in this video!
Huge progress on the car with the dashboard removal and install. I also replace the front wing fender on the car.
I bought this car as my first salvage car rebuild, and there was no information on whether the car would start or not. Hopefully i will take you through the process of ' How to rebuild a salvage car from start to finish ' in this series.
This being my first time, i'll probably make mistakes along the way so you don't have to on your first rebuild!
There are plenty more projects coming up including motorbikes, quads, and definitely more cars!
I'm also interested in mercedes, VW, and BMW's mainly so there may be rebuild projects for these in the future.

Thanks man, it takes me quite a while to get things done even if it doesn't show on camera so it's a relief when it's sorted haha

More progress mate! Coming along nicely! Nut and washer under the thread for peice of mind probably the easiest and cheapest way. Cant wait for the next one! Cracking job with the dashboard too. Normally the air vents brake..... Keep up the good work 👍

Thanks mate, yeah I've been thinking about a nut and washer but it's a double frame so you can't get access from underneath! But yeah dashboard definitely tested my patience but got there in the end haha

@@PeakPatrick awhh yeah I forgot it was double skinned. Could drill 4/5mm hole right through and nut+washer it. At the end of the day its slightly damaged anyway so it's not gunna course any more problems..... also could get someone to tack weld the nut so just still basically a solid fitment. If it was me there would of been alot of editing just for my language haha

@@danieljames9884 yeah I've been thinking about drilling through but to be honest might just weld the thread back on the frame as the thread is still good! But yeah a lot of swearing was involved hahahhaa

It's all a learning curve pal, sometimes you have to improvise to get the required result. Could you not just get a similar nut and bolt to replace fixed bolt on end of wing. Well done on dash though. 👍

Thanks man appreciate it! The bolt that came out actually pulled the thread piece out from the frame so won't be as simple as nut and bolt unfortunately but the thread is back in just gotta secure it 😅

Not sure if this is any help but look up Spark Plug Steve on YT and his video fiesta st gets cut open part 3. He uses some kind of winch to pull a crumpled area. Not sure if that would work to pull the frame

Good on you for starting this new venture, I have been buying and selling cars for a while now, and recently started getting cars from salvage auctions too, onto my 6th car in about 3 Months, some were very easy, some not so much, the latest being a Ford Ka which was meant to be a new wing and gone! turns out it had a whole host of other problems, and turned up here more like a Cat S than a Cat N! but we just struggle on don't we (my 4th replacement wing should be here today lol) check out my channel and Instagram pics if you have time, and keep up the good work (subbed) :)
