Sandra here. I'm the content creator for this channel.
I'm an artist....so I make things and create. This channel is part of my work.
Dave is my husband (we both appear in videos).

I'm usually either in Texas or Mexico. I make videos about all sorts of things. Stick around and see.

Best Wishes.

Did you ever reseal the windows and do you remember what gasket or seal size you needed?
@SandraBegotka
@SandraBegotka 29 дней назад
The original sealant was butyl tape. We bought new tape and used the same when we reset the windows. Then I put clear silicone around the outside seam. It worked. Even with driving 60 mph through pouring rain we've had no leaking around any windows.

Thanks for watching & Good luck with your project. We chiseled away at this for many months. For us...it has been perfect. We have loved being able to easily park just about anywhere....for example park in & explore a downtown area...then hop into the camper to make lunch or take a break. Then go find an off-grid, free campsite for the night. The simplicity takes away a lot of stress and eliminates potential problems. So worth it in our book.

When my ECHO check engine light flashed it was the catalytic converter was bad. A flashing light indicates you should not drive the car until you have the problem resolved. I bad catalytic converter can kill the engine.
@SandraBegotka
@SandraBegotka Месяц назад
The "check engine" light in my opinion is one of the biggest scams going....lol. In our experience it's usually something mundane or nothing at all. Catalytic converter is "cleaning" the exhaust....that's it. If it's not filtering correctly, then the air fuel mix will be off and engine won't be functioning optimal. but you'll be OK. Might be louder. But if it's blocked....it can overheat (fire hazard too) and the car will sound really bad...part of the exhaust may start glowing red. At any rate....if a person doesn't know anything about engines....better safe than sorry.

No! N O ! NOOOOOOOOO. It looked as if you have Eternabond tape on your roof. You must not use HB Fuller's Eternabond Roofseal tape with or even near any silicone product. This goes especially for the Henry's 887 Tropi-Cool, which is 100% silicone, and Flex Seal Liquid p/n ‎LFSWHTR01. This is expressly called out not to do this in the Eternabond data sheet, which can be found on the HB Fuller website. The amazon listing for Eternabond Tape also states this.
@SandraBegotka
@SandraBegotka Месяц назад
Well....we did it. Thankfully it's still holding up all these years later. I guess we got lucky. I can say that the Henry Tropicool doesn't adhere well to the eterna bond tape...definitely not a substance that's gonna last over the top of tape. We put the tape down first. Then I painted the silicone up to and overlapping the tape a bit. For our purposes/application it wasn't necessary for the silicone to bond well to the tape....the tape is well stuck to the metal roof....and the tropicool seals right up to the tape.

I’m considering a move to Mexico, as politics in the USA has become unbearable. The next election has the potential of ending democracy and impact most of the free world. I never hear about the political situation in Mexico. You have a new president. What is the outlook for the future of Mexico? Is there political corruption ?
@SandraBegotka
@SandraBegotka 2 месяца назад
We don't talk about Mexican politics. We keep informed with the goal of having situational awareness. Political and corruption go together....always and everywhere.
@giljusino
@giljusino 2 месяца назад
@@SandraBegotka I understand, as I spent my teenage years living in Puerto Rico. I saw corruption up close and personal. I had the feeling it's the same everywhere, we just are not aware of it. My concern is that I am Hispanic, so is my wife. The ORANGE IDIOT tends to spread a lot of hate towards us. History may repeat itself, this time the fall guy will be any non-white Americans (you know....Hispanics). I'd rather move to Mexico, as I might have the opportunity to drive some of my belonging in. BTW, I was born in Mexico to two American parents, a Puerto Rica & a German/Irish American. In the end I'm hoping to get a Mexican passport ( I have an expired one from when I was 3), then get access to public health in Mexico.
@SandraBegotka
@SandraBegotka 2 месяца назад
Sounds like you have a good foundation for thriving in Mexico. It has it's problems...as does the USA...or anywhere. We feel a greater sense of "freedom" in Mexico for various reasons personal to us. Our brushes with corruption in Mexico have included the dreaded attempt to intimidate us and extort $ by the police. They pull you over and make up something they say you did wrong and sometimes it's pretty ridiculous. Twice we held our ground and got out of it. Once it got kind of tense and the guy was so pushy we finally wound up giving $....less than he initially asked for....but the equivalent of US $100. This experience is pretty common down there.....we have heard stories from gringos driving USA/Canada plated cars AND Mexicans who've had this happen to them. Lots of people have all kinds of advice on how to handle this situation. We have also heard of local "problems" (poor running of things) which lead to situations where the water gets shut off....or power....or....(insert public works type issues here). Things don't get paid for....government agencies are not being run always by the books....there's often a lack of consistency. So you never quite know what you're in for when dealing with "official" things. I have stories of things like that. In the USA it is more "regular" or consistent for sure. Pros and cons....it all depends on what your tolerance levels are for all the differences that could be called "inconveniences" or deal breakers for some. We're pretty easy going and adaptable as far as accepting these differences as part of the price of admission so to speak. The politics in Mexico are VERY intense for a lot of Mexicans though....I can tell you that for sure. The Mexicans are much more ready (it seems to me) to take to the streets, blockade roads, etc. when they are displeased about the way things are being run by government. We've been in Mexico when stuff like that went down. It's had to put all the differences into words....it's almost something you need to experience and learn over time. If you're an intelligent, tolerant, even keeled person who just wants to live in peace....I'd say a person will likely do fine in almost any country. We've been going to Mexico for extended periods of time since 2016 and we keep going back. There is a lot of positive things about Mexico that we enjoy a great deal.

Way easier to seperate the caliper from the caliper bracket, Put slider clips in bracket then install bracket on truck then put pads in bracket, install spreader springs then install caliper to bracket. You will find that it is way simpler to do it that way.

To each their own but i wouldn't use a fram filter at all. Very inferior product
@SandraBegotka
@SandraBegotka 2 месяца назад
What do you think makes it inferior? Did you have a bad experience? Just wondering because we've used them for over 20 years on all our vehicles and I can't say we've ever had an issue. I've seen online where people say they're constructed poorly....and yet, as I said we've never had a problem. We travel long distances in our vehicles, but we always do timely oil/filter changes and regularly check the appearance of the oil. I've found that no matter what the product is (car parts, shoes, appliances, clothes...anything really).....if you run through enough of them eventually you will run into a problem...an error in the manufacturing...a lemon. But such is life. If a person is convinced that they are using or not using something to their benefit....more power to them. My dad had a Ford truck that was a lemon once and he vowed he'd never buy another...and he hasn't. Now he buys Chevy...and then a few years ago he had a freak major issue with the chevy. It happens. I'm just adding a different perspective.

Thank you. I feel better. Still have a few nagging things that seem to come and go. I have no way to know for sure if they are from the Lyme....or who knows??? But they seemed to begin after I had the tick bite. For awhile there (in the past year) things had gotten worse to the point it was bothering/worrying me. But since Dave and I began eating Keto quite a bit, fasting for 24hrs once a week, and eliminating all sugar (aside from Saturdays) I have found the bothersome things have diminished a lot.
