At the start of the video you can see the Red Lion. My grandparents home is to the right behind it. Thankfully the Red Lion has a new owner it’s a better pub now. This town also hosts two great Indian restaurants. A quaint small lovely village.
I have had mine for nearly two weeks and I absolutely love it. It has power and great suspension with adjustability for amazing handling. Its refined and finished beautifully with 5 years warranty and 3 years free roadside assistance. Awesome machine
Looks great. By cutting off the back of the fender, are you still able to keep the radiator from getting clogged with mud? I have the Hepco & Becker crash bars on my Tuareg but would really prefer the Outback Motortek ones, and would also like to run a high fender kit, but am worried about compatibility.
Hey there, me again. A comment about the Tiger’s Sport mode. Out here in the American Intermountain West we have miles of straight, flat roads that are interrupted by mountain passes. I love riding road mode with its comfortable setting then barely slowing down to hit sport for the stiffer setting over the pass. Crazy! Was off motorcycles for 40 some odd years skiing and Mountain biking, I still ride the Ducati 750 Sport I bought in 1974. I hop on to my Tiger and it’s a magic carpet ride!
I ride a 22 GT Pro. No significant complaints. I’m 70 and live in an Idaho ski town. Way more dirt than pavement. Your rationals matched mine completely. Sticking to maintained forest roads with pavement in between. I do love my bike but was lured by 24s improvements. A trade in was $9000 so that wasn’t an option. Put it on the block and got 3 calls from scammers, so I’m in love with it again. Think I’m too old to be riding at 7000 rpm. I’m putting some Bridgestone AX41s on Friday so maybe I’ll check out how 6000 or 7000 feels. I know, you’re supposed to get smarter as you age. Whatever
Here in Europe, I see thousends of BMW GSs but also an increasing number of Multistrada V4s. V4 Rallies are seen less but surprisingly I have seen two in rural France. I own the black full adventure one and could not be more happy with it. Where ever one looks at this bike there are top notch products and systems choosen. May be with the exception of Ducati Connect which uses Sygic instead of Android Auto and Apple Car Play. I get at least 450km with one tank of fuel. Top distance so far was 530 km with still some juice left. Skyhook Evo works amazing.
So the bike nearly had a catastrophic failure within days with that rock into the engine casing? You'd think they'd design these things with proper bash plates etc if people are going to use them properly for touring etc. Looks like an awesome trip though!
Best motorcycle to get your saddle bags, go to remote areas of Africa and around the world. Forget heavy and complicated africa twin’s and bmw gs’s when planning to have fun globally.
I used to get nervous about dropping my $5K KLR650 on single track. I can't imagine thrashing the $30K Multistrada off road. Be a great sport tourer with some mild dirt or gravel roads for me. Thanks for the vid.
I had a 2023 model GTPro, I traded it for a 2023 Rocket-3R. I hated the TFT on the older model, but now, I’m missing the versatility. My Rocket is a keeper, but I have a 2023 Ducati Monster SP, that may be Trade Bait for a new GT,??🤔
i hear the pannier racks and crash bars on 2024 GT Pro are not compatalable with 22,23. Things moved around and no 3rd party has them yet for 24' . disappointing as Shad them for last year.
@@Vicko026 you look to be handling everything without a problem even the slippery rutted stuff, did you just come back from a ride school or something..?
@@Vicko026 for me it's keeping that inside elbow up makes all the difference, i did an onroad training day with California ride school at Phillip island, it was so good, i did level 1 beginner twice coz my mates were there for the first time, but it was the best to get a double dose of the basics, there's like 5 levels so 1 day when i can afford to live i'll be on it again, it was on the 1260 enduro, there should be a statue of me there, i was a legend, those coaches are like hypnotists, absolutely amazing
@@tobanhoffmann8347 hahahaha classic. I might be heading back to the island later this year for some more training after being largely absent from tracks for the best part of 15 years. Will be interesting to see how much I can pick up again 😎👍
Hello from Toowoomba! Man, I get how you feel. I don't ride in the dirt, but the Pikes Peak Multistrada, to me, is a special bike...that I really can't afford. I'll probably end up on the 1300 GS, which I can get with crash bars and panniers for less than I can get the Multi, which I'd still have to pay more for to get heated grips, panniers, etc. If I had the money, I'd do it in a second. Great review.
@@Vicko026 that's the thing I love about Ducati. Someone said hey, let's stuff a Panagale engine in a Pikes Peak frame...and nobody said "no, that doesn't make sense". They said "That's nuts, lets do it!"
I currently own a 2018 multi enduro 1200, I’m definitely going to purchase one of these in the future, I will wait another year or so for the price to come down . Greta vid from the uk 😎👌🏻
It sounds like a non rally version with rally suspension, standard tank and 20kg less weight would be my ideal bike. Great video Wayne. Good to see a Tuareg in its natural environment.
having the extra hp at the top end is useful ??? NOT. I'm Concerned what works when the TFT goes deal The 850 sport have half analog; half digital; as does the sport 660.
exactly. let me customize whatt i want to display tmps, temps, gas, time, rpm, speed. like a cut paste to move widgets around on your pc or phone !! why not
no vdo or web site telllyou specifics of the tfi and how to move thru; and share data and see waht you want to configure or pick your own screen display .
hope you can configure what you wish to display on your master screen !! or flip thru a master with sub - data. like tpms, temps, gas, trip odemoter, clock; along wtih std rpm, speed, gas.
I am riding my F900 gs for 2 weeks. I don't think getting 300km out of the tank is possible. On a good ride maybe 250 till empty. Realistically I fill up every 200km.
I am 5'7" & I found the seat height about right with toe section down on both sides but I wouldn't want seat any higher for me personally. Not sure about bar risers as I didn't spend enough time in the saddle. Big disappointment is the lack of integration to the screen with your phone for Google maps for Navigation. I also think the lack of ride by wire was another miss on this bike, while the compettion all seem to have ride by wire.
They hve to keep costs down somehow - lots of folks use their own quad lock mounted phones for nav if they're just softroading. Ride by wire not needed here for this power level imo.
