Theories and analysis of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin and HBO's Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. A little bit on the tinfoil side, always trying to present new ideas.

Love your reaction at the beginning. I knew what was going to happen, yet it hit so hard. Very poignant. Your expression of emotion reflected how I felt perfectly. An your my 4th reaction video. So thank you. ❤
Borros: "This is bullshit! We're part Targaryen! Why aren't we getting equal treament?!" Fast forward to soon to be king Bobby B: *LAUGHS IN WARHAMMER*
My theory is the Blackwoods werent exiled, they were given a mission to protect the giant weirwood in what is now Blackwood Vale. And that giant weirwood has yet to be cut down despite the Andal invasion. Mission accomplished. The Blackwoods stayed true.
I think the story is going in a direction where Daemond, at the end, will want to « kill all the trees », while Aemond will be using their power in some capacity or at least be serving « their interest ». S1 had Jace quoting Aegon the Conqueror saying « kill all the trees », which probably ties to Aerys’ « burn them all! ». I think the prequels are building towards an eventual post-GoT sequel where it turns out Bran becoming king was in service of the weirwood or CotF, or outright that the Three Eyed Crow was some big villain all along.
Both the Targaryens and the Starks knew the prophecy, though from different contexts. Bran the Builder did not construct the Wall on a whim. And the Targaryen lore is that when the great threat comes from beyond the Wall there must be a Targaryen on the Iron Throne. And the Stark lore is that there must always be a Stark in Winterfell. The reasons for these rules have everything to do with the threat from beyond the Wall.
If it's too big andthe resources would take more tham the land could afford then why not tear down 2-3 towers andnuse that stone and wood to repair the remaining towers?...
To me as a Medievalist the Blackwood-Bracken Feud has always served as a lovely illustration about how honor was (usually) a zero sum game. When the stakes are that high, brutality isn't so mystifying an attitude.
Aemond now possesses the potential to learn of the Song of Ice & Fire Prophecy for himself, as he finds & keep the Catspaw dagger from where Aegon lies. Interesting to see if that gets momentum, else it’s just a Chekhov’s prophetic dagger😂
How to solve it? Easy, barely an inconvenience. Since the Brackens have all daughters at this point in ASOIAF, and the Blackwoods mostly have sons, just throw a big wedding where all the Blackwoods marry all the Brackens. Or, you know, just get the Others to wipe out both houses. If they all die, no feud. Worse case scenario they team up to wreck shop and solve their feud that way.
To Hoster Blackwood's point I put in the video, they've done that over and over throughout history. Marriage pacts and alliances and bonds of friendship to put it all behind them. Making every Bracken a Blackwood and vice versa, hasn't stopped the feud. It eventually returns.
I think people are forgetting that it’s been two weeks since the last episode so unless he’s been doordashing, Daemon should be a bit more comfortable eating and drinking in Harrenhal. (Still a little sus but you know, the plot must go on…)
Would have liked it if Aemond did not deliberately burn Aegon but expect that I loved the episode the Rheanys death really hit right she out of everyone in the dance deserved better.
