Hey guys, I have been collecting cards since I was 8 years old. I want to share the knowledge that I have gained over the last 17 years collecting and studying cards with anyone and everyone. I will share investing advice, under the radar players, stories from the hobby's past, interviews with fellow collectors, and more! Thanks for checking the page out. I know if you love the hobby this is the right channel for you!
I tried hitting the PSA graded card against a furniture without cracking the PSA slab multiple times. The PSA bumper significantly damaged my graded 9 card. If I had to regrade it, it would probably been a PSA 6? I showed the result to a card shop owner and he told me not to post the pictures.
I haven't sent any on my own yet because it is cheaper for me to send them thru my local LCS, unless I join the Collectors Club. Plus they deal with all the logistics which is nice. I don't submit enough so far to make spending the $150 on the membership worth it. I have been considering it though, so this video is very helpful.
I also hate them, they stick to your fingers somehow where you can’t get them off your hands it’s truly maddening, so using a piece of tape to stop them from getting stuck on everything & to easily collect them/trash them, the painters tape is essential
HELPFUL INFO **** You know the peelable things you said your wife finds everywhere …? Well if you take a piece of your painters tape, pull off about 6 inches and attach it to the end of the table, or hanging down from a lamp, etc etc, you can easily get rid of those lil plastic peelables by sticking them to the tape & when it fills up just crumple up the tape & throw it away…
This is great and informative - thanks! But, what do you do for super thick cards like Topps Dynasty? Would you still have to try fit those into flimsy Card Savers before submitting?
Try it on your own. There are some great group submitting companies out there, but no one will handle your card like you will and the piece of mind watching each step on the app will avoid reaching out to your group submission company. If you are on the fence on grading, try it with 1 to 5 cards in a small order.
I’ve submitted quite a few times lately through the PSA app. It’s nice to scan the cards and upload your order that way. I haven’t seen many videos on showing people how to submit through the app, which is not difficult at all. Great content as always Scott!!
Thanks for the video, Scottie! It seems to me that the unfortunate problem with getting “approval” from PSA on things like putting it in the Beckett bag is that they have inconsistency with rules like that one. Just like their inconsistencies with grading. You could ask four different people at PSA and probably get four different answers. But it is a little reassuring to hear that you’ve been doing that for a while and haven’t had any issues. I just hope with their updated TOS it doesn’t get tighter because it seems that’s the way they are going.
Great video. I honestly never use the card board. I use team bags and label them then pack in box. I send 30 plus so card board is challenging. Is it required or recommended? Also psa copy is two page when you have larger submissions. Lastly I use the App to scan the cards and enter not the desktop. It’s really easy to scan as I go so I don’t order them based on anything else.
Do u take pictures or video of your cards before u send it out so u know what each card looks like, so if a new scratch, dimple, or whatever happens, it's documented? Also, if I don't have a PC or a printer and I'm doing all this on the app, do I just fill everything out and have UPS, FedEx print the sheets and labels? I don't send packages I only receive them so
Thanks for watching. Without signing up for an annual membership with PSA, $25 is the cheapest option. You do not get the bulk or specials without the membership.
Much like the Olympic cards, they're going to print these 50/50 cards to the moon. I bought a few packs at nearly 8pm CT and the Topps site was still live. My guess is they will ship fast, so they can move stock before he hits 60/60 next week 😉
Guys. PSA can’t frkn believe i have to write this but when a breaker hits a card they actually don’t keep the cards probably some kid in Wisconsin will get the card breakers are just opening he product they sold its no different than an lcs other than they charge a fee for opening the box which typically is not that gig use your heads please and stop repeating what philmington or other person says lol jk with Phil but really stop hating on breakers when it seems you don’t know how it works breakers literally make like 10 percent per break if anything lcss have higher margins probably if they buy direct from topps
Just brought two boxes and a few individual packs on 9/30/24 going to take my chances, I may open one box and keep the other sealed until Shohei Ohtani makes it in the HOF😂. It does have a shipping date of 60-65 days from now.
I don’t understand how they could have a 60-65 day shipping time. wtf does that even mean 😂 i bought 24 packs and just killed my vibe after I saw that in my confirmation
