Hi You are so right , particularly in summer. For a few days eating foods whole, or ready, tins of tuna/sardine Nuts/dates , pre boiling eggs, I read about a chef who brings nice home cooked ham , he said your never forced to buy ready processed overpriced food on the go . When your hungry . Protein drinks as so handy , “ I made a fast poached salmon /rice lentil mix /frozen peas / jalapeños . When going out hiking , eaten cold it’s nicer . ( the uncle bens. Precooked rice is handy for this or half if mixing with lentil) or if you have left over rice . Getting protein keeps you full for longer . Great tips. I’ll be catching up on your previous posts 😊 vegetarians can use selection of beans /tofu /sweet potato .

Even though I am fairly young (46) I have both lifting and mobility issues, yet also an adventurous soul, with a need to camp and connect with nature. I just got one and plan to use it for bathroom, changing room and shower tent. At less than 2 lbs, it’s the best privacy shelter I could find for my needs. I am very excited to give it a try on my first tiny car camping adventure, I live in far south Mississippi, so I think it might be a way to escape the intense bug pressure too. 👏👏👏

I have a Soto Amicus stove, very similar to this one of yours. I use it with the little packets of pour over coffee (look up “One Fresh Cup Coffee - Single Serve Pour Over Drip Coffee” for an example.) I got my little stove at a liquidation store for $1.00!! Normally $59! One of my better scores! I could almost feel that cool crisp air! It’s been over 100° here in Oklahoma! (For some reason my post didn’t go through so I’m reposting. Will delete it if it double posts.)

Thanks for watching! It’s not a problem for me. I can’t say for anyone else. It’s very comfortable. It a relaxed sitting position, not straight up. And if I want to sit up straighter, I put a camping pillow behind me. I don’t find it hard to stand up from the chair at all. But again, I can’t speak for everyone. Have a fantastic day!

Forgetting your magic coffee machine is why I have an emergency backup silicone collapsible cone to hold the #2 paper filter that lives in a ziplock bag with 10 filters tucked away. Since I heat water in a 12v kettle I sometimes make my coffee with collapsible cone when I’m at a local park for after walkabouts.

Nice . Apples don’t need refrigeration as the oranges too. Boil a dozen eggs and you will have a great protein. Raisins don’t need refrigeration. Don’t forget all the different oatmeal or chewy stack bars to keep you going during the day’s activities. Have fun stay safe.

If I'm camping for 2 or 3 days, I usually have apple and peanut butter for breakfast. I bring trail mix for snacks. For lunch and dinner I usually like to experience the area I'm in, so I'll have a real lunch. I like parks that have a lodge so we can go in and eat. I get the lunch and can only eat half of the lunch. I get it to go and in a few hours finish it for dinner.

Great video! Eating healthy while on the go is always top priority for us! It is so tempting to just grab something quick but usually those are terrible options. We keep a few "easy" things on hand for late nights/bad weather - but focus on eating properly as much as we can. Happy Travels!

Frozen Sausage or Bratwurst, frozen pre cooked from home burgers are sometimes good cold or room temperature just for heavy protein fix. Especially if you have ketchup or mustard packets. Love all the fruits and veggies!! That cereal you made looked delicious! I will have to try it. Oh, Avocado 🥑. They are pretty satisfying

Great to see you, Nancy! Nice to see how you nourish yourself when you don't have your camp kitchen with you. That cereal looks delish, and with the sliced fruit <chef's kiss>. You referenced something you said the other day, and I thought I may have missed a video, but the video prior was 2 weeks ago. That's smart to fill up your cooler with some protein drinks. I need to get some myself!

We keep it simple and whole foods plant based most of the time. A few eggs and cottage cheese or yogurt. I would never cook anything but my dear husband would be sad without " home cooked" meals. I make all of our bread because it tastes better to us. We travel full time so it's a bit different that camping trips. We eat out about once a week for a change. Love your ideas and the simplicity of your rig and meals.

Thanks for watching! I appreciate your comment and support! I love traveling! Hubs not so much. 🤷🏼‍♀️ That’s fabulous that you make your own bread on the road! I don’t cook in my van at all. I have a kitchen off the back that I bring sometimes. It works out well. I’m a simple eater. Don’t need much. I like Whole Foods, eggs and plant based as well. This way you know what you’re putting in your body. 😉 Have a fantastic day! 😃🙌🏼💯

Even with full time travel and needing protein with every meal, I keep two chicken and three tuna packs with me. If I don't eat it M-F the following shopping trip, I will just replace what I need. I also love pb sandwiches which I eat more as a snack. When I go to get gas, I'll get a tea and pick up a mayo pack, always asking if I can purchase it (I'm always given it, but I don't want to just take it). If I do go to a fast food, I'll grab one to (not) put on my kid's meal burger. I try to collect them because a small container of mayo takes up too much room in my tiny fridge. I use up the space for cheese and yogurt/yogurt smoothies. I found 2Good yogurts and 3Good yogurt smoothies, with 2-3 grams of sugar and delicious! I eat a lot of produce and will have it with cheese, pb or a bleu cheese/ranch container I purchase that does not have to be refrigerated. I also have peanuts/nuts, I pick a different one each week when I empty a bag along with mixing up the vegetables. It may cost a bit more, but I purchase the snack veggie packs, better than wasting money because it goes bad without a larger refrigerator. Living foods are also cheaper so I am overall spending much less and can afford to splurge with items like shrimp. I go to stores where I can purchase the amount I want and do it same day. Leftovers are easier to store because by the weekend, the yogurt products are consumed. I also purchase individual milks that are nonperishable. I have stables, bread & crackers that I replenish when finished. I've never been a salt eater, so canned goods are out of the question, outside of occasional because I am craving it. On those days, if possible, I treat myself out. On the weekends I will take out the portable stove and make a meal, for two and eat the leftovers the next day. I even make homemade biscuits, a 1/4 of a recipe, occasionally that's a mess to clean up! Honestly at 62, never married and close to 50 years of cooking my own foods naturally, I'm just tired of washing dishes! A plate, bowl, my cup and maybe a utensil is enough! I've always enjoyed finger foods and I've found the cooked weekend (also holidays) meals are more "delicious". I'll cook up a grilled cheese or tuna melt, easy-peasy cleaning! That cereal, minus the easy to pick out pumpkin seeds, sound good! I'd top my yogurt with it! I appreciate your videos. You are so in my head. . . "Now, do you really need that?" Sometimes, it is okay to do a snack want, but I find it far and few between lately. One fig newton can settle a sweet craving for me. I say find your go to for those moments of caving in and tuck it away! Meeting my cravings. . . like for soup keeps my eating healthier. Salads are harder, so if I want one, I go out. The other thing I do is purchase myself a gift card like to Panara for the soup and salad, low funds moments! This can be done, even full-time!

It’s very dangerous to do this. Being in your car for small periods is fine but their car chemicals inside your car that are extremely dangerous even with a new air filter and the smell is there even with the car off and you not smelling it. I would say keep your windows down when the car is off at all times. Spend as much time as you can outside the vehicle. Listen to your bodies. If you’re feeling sick get out of the car.
