I started this channel as a place to share my new love of jewelry making. All of my videos will show beading with my left hand and will hopefully help other left handed beaders.
I was hoping you would have a blast in Cincinnati, obviously you are a true People Person. Renting a scooter is a terrific idea. I believe you will find most if not all items on the BBB website. I reallly like the Window beads but I would prefer 8 to 10mm in teal. But this way I saved money. I am trying to be frugal as I search for a house. Plus less items to move and rearrange definitely appeals to me. I look forward to seeing your creations from the May and June boxes. And of course hear fun stories from your trip!
Thanks Faye, I think that I am finally recovered from my trip. This is the first day that I have energy and don't feel like I need to lay down. Frugal sounds like a good thing. I have to start shopping my stash and reducing it some. I have way too many beads as well as all of my other crafting ventures. I want to start saving money to travel a bit more. Hi Kath, I have found it hard to get excited about many of the bargain bead boxes lately. I would stop getting them but they are my most popular videos. Hey Winona - It's wonderful hearing your enthusiasm re the retreat! I hope you can attend a handful every year. They sound like a grand time. If you have a chance maybe you could post a few pix under the 'Shorts' section. I have no idea howbto anything on RU-vid except watch videos but YOU are a Pro! Or we will wait until younreturn andvhear your fun stories. Seems you and I both likevthe English cut beads. The color of the 3rd (watermelon) bead was my favorite color. The larger metal ovals are outstanding! Like you I truly enjoy chunky beads, chains, cookie dough ice cream, etc. (Sorry, I was in the grocery store earlier today.) Safe travels on your trip! (When I attempted to LIKE your video a pop-up message indicated it was not allowed. I can LIKE most comments though. Quite confusing. A glitch maybe? I have no clue.)
Thanks Faye, I will try to do a few shorts if at all possible. I don't know how to do them but I can learn. RU-vid has a lot of glitches. Often when I try to comment on other videos I can't. Oh well, I am really looking forward to going to the retreat. It is my first time flying by myself and my mom is really worried. I keep telling her that I have to grow up sometime. I'm not sure what my favourite colour is. At school the kids used to ask me that question all of the time and I said it depended on the day and how I felt. That being said, I do have a lot of purple around me. Take care my friend, 😊💗💗💗

I was delighted to see you posted a video. Re not feeling well, my PCP, Cardiologist and Neurosurgeon said it seems I might have Long Covid. I wasn't aware that existed. It might be something to discuss with a physician or two. (I try to eat a piece of fruit or a salad at least 5 times a week. I have consumed a salad everyday for at least a month and fruit several times a week. It's a process.) I understand your recent creations do not make you as happy as some but I see beauty in them. I like the diversity in the designs. Asymmetrical is fun and unexpected. The longer necklace with the large, open circles adds a bit of drama and longer necklaces aka Sweater Necklaces can be slenderizing. (With that in mind I need to wear a jumprope around my neck!) The purple bracelet is unique and would be a beautiful stand-alone piece. The 3 strand bracelet is so Winona! That style always make me think of you. I could go on but it makes sense that when we feel poorly there's always a trickle-down impact. Enjoy your retreat! A nice getaway can refresh and be a much deserved change-of-pace. (We have already hit the 80⁰+ temperatures here. It's also muggy humid.) I look forward to fun stories re your retreat! Safe travels.
Thanks Faye, I have heard of long covid and I really hope that you are feeling okay. I am feeling much better the last few days but my iron is low so it will take a while before I lose the tiredness. I can't eat raw vegetables because my stomach is paralized and I really miss salads. Fruit doesn't seem to bother me as much but lettuce is a no no. Thanks for the input on the jewellery. I just didn't get as excited about it as I usually do. I can't wait for the retreat. This is my first time flying alone and I will be spending almost a week in Cincinnati. My mom is starting to get really worried and I wouldn't be suprised if she doesn't by a plane ticket and come along. We are always kids in our mom's eyes. As for the weather, it has been pretty cool here and seems to freeze most nights. I haven't even started working outside yet, its just too cold out. I don't think that it should affect the value of the gemstone unless you are talking about high quality gemstones like ruby, sapphire, topaz etc. These are stones that expensive jewellery stores would sell and they are coloured to enhance the beauty of the stone. Dyeing and heating should not affect the value of the stones that we generally use in our hobbies. I hope that answered your question, 😊💗💗💗

I have seen many of these goddess bracelets, but this is the prettiest one I’ve ever seen. I love the choice of the Jasper and all of the different colors. And using that larger jump rings with texture really sets it off the top! Thank you.😊😊

Winona, you certainly unleashed your creativity with this BBB shipment. That necklace is seriously amazing! It's a showstopper! (Three pairs of earrings? Pre-pandemic when I worked trade shows I wore 3 pairs of earrings at a time. That way I was constantly promoting my merchandise.) It's wise you didn't make elaborate earrings, your designs compliment the necklace and bracelet perfectly. The 4 strand bracelet is nice. If it's too challenging finding assistance helping clasp the short bracelet maybe add a few jumprings just before the toggle clasp. 3 or 4 on each side should suffice. If you feel it isn't balanced you could use some of the leftover eyepins and tiny faceted Amazonite beads for dangles to attach to the jumprings. You certainly outdid yourself this time, Winona!

Hello Winona! It's nice to hear your voice again. I have been watching BBB videos. They do not do unboxings, I presume they leave that for others. They focus on creating and displaying the designs by the owner and staff. As soon as I saw the specific items they selected I knew you would be fond of this shipment. I know you are anxious to dive into designing with this one. I hope your health continues to improve, your short summer is fast approaching. (We actually hit 80⁰ a few days ago. Right now it's 68⁰. I have friends in Texas that planted their vegetable gardens about 2 weeks ago, typical for their area. They experienced a hail storm 2 weeks in a row. They lost over 40% of everything. They started seedlings in their greenhouses so the plants were not small. So sad.) Of course I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.

The 2 tear drop pieces are only top drilled and have to cut off eye pin and glue them in and the ones you mentioned the dye job, the coating wears off so use for your own jewelry...fyi...they may refund the amt of them....missed seeing you but glad you are feeling better...TFS

Thank you so much for the kind comment. I agree, it is sometimes hard for left handers to follow patterns. I found this out when I was crocheting a project years ago. I got to a point that if i continued to follow the directions the words were backwards. I got so frustrated that it has been in time out for 8 years. 😂 Take care, 😊💗💗💗
Hey Stranger - sorry I missed this video when you posted it, I had yet another dance with Covid. Veru inconvenient, especially with a broken shoulder. That wasn't the ideal excuse for missing Physical Therapy but it happened. This is an interesting style. And you plan to create a cuff?! That sounds awesome. I look forward to that video. I hope your trip to the city was safe and without incident and your test results were good. Your weather sounds brutally cold. Today was comfy here, just a bit warm. The high was 67⁰ with strong sunshine. I wish I could send you a shipment of warmer weather. -20⁰C = 4⁰F. I checked it on Google twice, just to be certain I read it correctly. And that doesn't include the strong wind you mentioned. I simply cannot imagine how you drive in that weather. Hi Faye, wow, I sure hope that you are on the mend. I have been sick for the last week or so. I was told that I had bronchitis and have been on antibiotics for over a week and I think that I feel worse now than I did when I started them. Yes, I want to turn that bracelet into a cuff but to tell the truth, I haven't had the energy to do anything. Well, that's a fib, I had to get everything ready for income tax and the gentleman came yesterday to work on it. It looks like I am paying in again. Oh well that's how it goes. Hello Winona, I was scrolling through your channel looking at some of your videos I have missed. I came across this one for November bbb . Your jewelry is so gorgeous ! I really liked the pieces you made with the beads Kath gave you and they are beautiful. I also really liked the second set . I was going to say that was my favorite until I seen the golden rod necklace and earrings. Those are definitely my favorite . I just love that color and the beads are smaller . I seem to prefer them that way . I also thought the flower earrings would also go perfect with that .
