It is supposed to be interesting that Hannibal Lector, an objective monster, speaks to her with respect while other men with “nice” jobs make inappropriate comments.
Italians, Irish, Germans, British, Chinese, Japanese, Africans, Mexicans, Russians, Polish, French, even Scandinavian countries have had their moments in America. Its extremely unique to America that we have spent hundreds of years having immigrants from various countries come in large amounts and spend a couple decades getting used to America. Im irish and German but my family goes back about 100 years in America. Every single person ive ever known here can tell you exactly where their family came from. Its actually pretty good. I go to different festivals from probably 15 different countries

1- Ghosts cannot unlock doors. 2- Danny was always watching the Road Runner outsmart the Coyote on tv. I believe Danny let Jack out of the pantry... why? Because Danny bravely jumped out of his hiding place inside the metal cart in the hallway right in front of Jack, daring him to give chase - to lure him out into the frozen hedge maze to defeat him.
I think Shelley Duvall was a fantastic actress. It's a shame what Kubrick put her through. She was very talented & smart and I think if he'd just given her a chance, Kubrick could've gotten what he wanted from her without abusing and hurting her like he did. It is sad that he "went there" straight off the cuff. He didn't have to be such a disrespectful pig... he CHOSE that route. It's sickening. IRL Kubrick was way more terrorizing than the fictional Jack ever was.
