This was exactly what I was searching for. I've got a few baits I've carved I would like to make two piece molds out of. Super easy to follow along, definitely saving this for reference
I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a ru-vid.comUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ru-vid.comUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
Hi ! Thank you for a little tour and meeting nice people.👍 Getting to know colleagues with the same interests is always interesting...😉 It's a pity, but aluminum foil, after 3-4 years, will peel off ...🤥🤫
Its metal cast. Im a mold maker by trade(28 years) and have worked with this material extensively. I know that it will break down quickly due to the high heat needed to melt the plastic. This is for the hobbyist not big lure productions. The life of the mold will be short before it starts to chip out and crack.
Great video, one observation compared to day curly Sue or Buldawg the soft plastic seems softer, is this your preference or is it the way it comes, thanks
This is great! I am trying to make custom-molded lead weights to go into a very peculiar riflestock. Idea is, greater mass = more inertia = less recoil. Anyways, didn't expect molded resin to give me enough weight. Started investigating how to mold lead, and ended up at your video. Didn't think Alumilite mold putty would handle the heat of molten lead, but you clearly prove otherwise! Outstanding! Now I can proceed with materials already on-hand. Thanks again for sharing! Best wishes
This seems to be the product I've been looking for, I tried smooth on 325 and that thing don't float as well as this... Can't get pass 20% balloons as it just turns into a paste
I trolled Rapala X Raps in Costa Rica and caught fish until they had water in them. And they kept catching fish until the hooks were trashed and the paint was gone. Then I put them on a wall. But stronger lures would be great there.
*This is my second set of weight discs and I also have the 2 ounce and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they work great and fit into the tackle box perfectly. the quality is there so I'm happy with them.*
