How well does it hold up to high heat after an extended period of time? Im interested in trying some large production runs. Soft plastic needs in between 325 deg F - 350 deg F. Im a mold maker by trade and am concerned about your vac-50 breaking down after time....i.e. chipping and warping.
Thanks for reaching out and asking Ken. Vac-50 with it’s 50% atomized aluminum does a really nice job of handling heat, but I’m not sure it can withstand those constant temperatures. It’s rated for 250F but can take peaks above that. The only thing I could think of is that you could run some cooling lines through it. It may be worth taking a 5lb or even 20 lb kit and giving it a go. We would be willing to pass along a discount for you to give it a good evaluation and see what it’s limits are. Thanks for your question! In this video, it looks like for each pour, roughly .5lb of each A and B were used for a total of 2 pours - 2lbs used and 3lbs left.
