*This is my second set of weight discs and I also have the 2 ounce and **enjoyable.fishing** recommend they work great and fit into the tackle box perfectly. the quality is there so I'm happy with them.*

This is great! I am trying to make custom-molded lead weights to go into a very peculiar riflestock. Idea is, greater mass = more inertia = less recoil. Anyways, didn't expect molded resin to give me enough weight. Started investigating how to mold lead, and ended up at your video. Didn't think Alumilite mold putty would handle the heat of molten lead, but you clearly prove otherwise! Outstanding! Now I can proceed with materials already on-hand. Thanks again for sharing! Using a hollow piece of pipe or conduit to wrap your wire around allows you to place it through the center first then wrap to give your coil a centering pin

I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a ru-vid.comUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.

Good job but Just an advice Always wear a Mask FFA2P3 when you melt lead and wear Also protective glasses gloves and a protection suit that Is useful to protect you from lead particles.

I suppose it's good to wear a mask in case of contaminants but the metal is no where near boiling/vaporization temperature of a whopping white hot 1750 C or 3182 F ... I wish people who make lead solder difficult to find knew that because unleaded solder sucks and is a product of people going overboard these days. I hope you mean a "protection suit" from hot lead, because phobia of touching lead is getting out of hand today.

TERRIFIC PRODUCT for customizing! However I'm lazy and enjoy easy - I'll "stick" to using Super Glue and waiting the 15 seconds for it to cure - and with professionally weights I can more easy repeat a bait/weight combination.
